the dogs are not much this season.

Pay attention the Jimmy Lake situation is very similar to Donte William's story.

Here you had some hotshot position coach who's never been a HC come in. He was liked and a good recruiter but overly ambitious to be fast tracked into a HC job. They even made him a co-defensive Coordinator to appease him even though they had Pete Kwiatkowski there. A move that at the time seemed insulting since Pete was experienced and a team strength. He's since left Washington to join Texas. When Petersen left they already had Lake penciled in without considering anyone else they just hired him. It was a Clay Helton like hire.

This is what you got. One of the worst coached Washington Teams I've seen in decades. It took Lake 1 1/2 years to destroy that program. He actually got lucky with the covid year he was able to cherry pick the games they played. This year he's getting exposed.

If you hire Donte Williams don't be surprised if you end up with a similar result, don't say I didn't warn you.

DW would not be hired if he were to win all the games this season, it’s just the way it is. Sounds like a song somewhere 1634483582399.png

Granted the dogs are not much this season.
But outside of a bad underthrown pass by Dawgs QB to a wide-open receiver that could have resulted in a TD but ended up as a UCLA interception, the game was pretty even all day.

Just a couple of average Pac-12 teams trying to keep their slim hopes alive in their respective divisions - something that seems all so normal for the lowly Pac-12 conference these days.

Heck - even the Pac-12 North-leading Ducks lost 3 places in the polls with very unimpressive 7-point win over lowly Cal

Kelly is getting that team together.......between Az St, Utah, Stanford, Oregon, Washington, Oregon St and UCLA our new coach is going to have to know how to coach.....the days of USC and the 11 creampuffs is over. Which is a good thing.

Yep. There were some here who really pushed for Jimmy Lake to replace Helton a few years ago. I’m glad it didn’t happen.

Good joke if our new coach even breaks a sweat in this weak sauce conference. Then we got bigger issues.

There is not a legitimate good team in the Pac-12. Every one of these pathetic teams would be thoroughly embarrassed in the CFP. Pac-12 has sold out for parity and parity is what we've got...parity with all wallowing in mediocrity. Pac-12 is a dumpster fire and national punch line.

We’re closer to 12 creampuffs than any scenario you’re hinting at.

.
Kelly has improved fucla this season. Not saying much as there was not much room to go lower than the past few seasons. They looked good after their first couple games but have proved to be very beatable. If Washington had an actual head coach, fucla loses that game by a couple scores.
