It is so weird to see any professional say "my client" openly when it comes to a current college player.
That one might hurt. Struck me as a player who could contribute playing slot. Maybe wants a starting gig.

I saw this one coming. He wasn't being used in the offense and his botched punt returns pretty much left him with nowhere to go except another school.
Writing was on the wall here, especially with some of those blunders on special teams. Seems like a guy without a position. Curious to see how his career pans out because the talent is certainly there.
his role on offense was complete eliminated by this incompetent staff and he was the only kid in the country to fair catch all kick and punt returns. Another wasted talent on our roster.
He is a hybrid player. I could see him fitting in at Pitt and the offense they run. He does everything as a B an didnt really excel at any one thing. He was an awesome athlete though.
He'll probably be an All American at Illinois
Kid is an incredible athlete but if he couldn't find a role on offense this year, he will never find a role. I think it's best for everyone involved to move on. Not sure he will ever be able to overcome his special teams blunders. They will live on in infamy amongst the fanbase.
Anyone remember his questionable decision to catch a kickoff as he was going out of bounds on about the 7 yardline...the one where the refs ruled that his foot was actually out of bounds when he caught the ball. Afterwards Schiano had a conversation with him and...after his botched efforts on several punt returns earlier in the season that led to disastrous turnovers...it was pretty clear that he was in a dog house there was no way out of.

When you have an entire section yelling to let it go or cheering for the kickoff to go out of the endzone your legacy is pretty much defined.
To be fair- he was the reason for the need.
His muff against Northwestern cost us the shutout. This decision is for the best of all parties concerned.
Guy was an effing wreck fielding punts. Had no ability to locate the ball and was always making massive last minute adjustments to catch the ball
Yes . Shade of Brandon haw in the buffanova days. . Except Rochelle got away with it and haw didn’t
I hate to say this but why would any pass catcher stay at RU when RU's passing game is an afterthought at this point.
To be fair, he didn't exactly do himself any favors in that role when given the opportunity to actually return.

Actually it is a smart move to catch it, but you have to make sure you have one foot out of bounds first.
They replaced him with Dremel. He must have been feeling pretty bad from the string of events that happened.
Yea not sure if I was the agent I would be advertising that one. Can't imagine the 3 t-shirts that were sold over the last 2 years translate into a huge payday.
Exactly what did he do that showed you he was an incredible athlete? An incredible athlete would either be a starting WR or done something offensively that would make the coaches play him.
I watched the kid move. Saw him practice a couple of times. His athleticism didn’t translate to the field for us. I wish him well. It didn’t work out.

2020: (9 games): 33 kickoff returns for 849 yards, 2 TDs; 10 punt returns for 100 yards 1 TD;
kick return units scored three touchdowns (two kickoff, one punt) as Rutgers finished as one of four teams nationally, and the only Big Ten school, to reach the mark and one of 10 teams in the country with at least one kickoff and one punt return score. Rutgers led the Big Ten and ranked No. 16 nationally with 25.73 yards per kickoff return. Aron Cruickshank earned the Big Ten Rodgers-Dwight Return Specialist of the Year and First Team All-Big Ten by the media and coaches, and was named honorable mention All-America as a kick returner by Phil Steele. He was one of four players tied for the nation's lead, and the only in the Big Ten, with two kickoff return touchdowns (100 yards at Purdue, 98 yards versus Nebraska). Cruickshank picked up 671 combined kick returns yards to rank fourth nationally and first in the conference.
2021: 39 kickoff returns for 813 yards; 23 punt returns for 255 yards; Rutgers’ kickoff coverage unit finished 17th in the nation allowing 17.58-yard per return. The Scarlet Knights punt block and return units were explosive ranked 25th in the nation allowing 2.93-yards per return while blocking one punt and returning another for a touchdown.

Kick Returns 13 for 220 yds. He split kick returns with JoJo Bermudez and did not handle punt returns. The guy Greg let go had more kickoff return yards than Rutgers. He had more kickoff return yardage than Rutgers had in combined kickoff and put return yardage.
Prior to Rutgers in 2019 as a freshman , Youngblood handled kickoff returns at Kansas State, where he had 14 returns for 502 yards and 3 TDs.
Seems he did fine at other teams, but he had a "problem" at Rutgers.
The return team coaching is pathetic!!!!

Great athlete who did not translate into viable scoring option. Many reasons he did not progress and for both parties a good split.

I watched the Arkansas games from 12/13 out of interest and it was hard to believe this is the same team. Those games were fun to rewatch.
Maybe he wants to be in a place where he can catch passes and actually return kicks instead of worrying about dislocating his shoulder signaling for fair catches.
Maybe he wants to be in a place where he can misplay punts and give the other team's offense back the ball in great field position several times and continue to be sent out there for more.
One thing I did notice this year- I have never seen so many kicks through the endzone. Seemed like the only time either team kicked a returnable ball was if it was planned.
With punt returns, I understand the hesitancy after those two muffs. But even then- it just seemed there was something off. Why even fair catch and ty to catch a punt inside the 10? And even the muffs- I sort of feel this is on the coach- if it happened once- where the ball may have tricked you and you are jumping off your feet to try to catch it- then bad on you, but how does it happen twice?

would have liked to see him more in the slot, I mean he could be great at being shifty and watching the ball overthrow him by 5 yards at 70 mph on an 8 yard out....
