I think I like it. Looks like the two division winners get a 1st round bye, then the top 2 seeded winners in the 1st round get a 2nd round bye. 2 double elimination brackets except that there's only 1 game once each bracket gets down to 2 teams (if you go through undefeated you're only reward is the bye in the 4th round). Then the SEC championship game on Sunday.

...except for the winner of each getting a #1 or #2 seed in the tournament. Everybody was playing all but 1 other team in the league. At this point, if the 30 game schedule continues the divisions actually become just a little more meaningful if you start to skip3 teams from the opposite division.

I've been a big advocate for the divisions going away up to this point. Not sure what the best course of action is at this point b/c playing more than 30conference games seems like suicide for SEC teams.

during the regular season the ONLY thing to play for is the overall league title but yet there is going to be a significant discrepancy in the league schedules for each team. If you play everyone once that is 13 games but how many total will you play and who decides which teams you have to play twice. If they just use the current football divisions for determining that, like this year, then you would be up to 19 games but that is probably too many league games. Seems to be sort of a mess to me.
