Mississippi State looked good last night - but I still think we will beat them. They are young this year for a change and this is the year to take them down.

Georgia just looks awful so far. I'm still not ready to say we can beat them, but I like how our schedule after this BYE stair steps upwards. If we can build on each game each week...
If we can beat Miss st and lose on road to Mizz. I think we could bounce back and beat UGA. Miss st is a must win but if we are going to beat UGA it is this year without question. My concern is our passing game going into next 3 weeks. I do not think we can beat these teams being 1 demonsional.
MIZZ @UF will be interesting game as well. I am going to be paying attention to Mizz defense and do some scouting on them. This is the team everyone says we will beat on the road. I am not that confident but I haven't watched them this year. They allways seem to have a very solid front 7 and NFL typ pass rushets. I know they picked up the #1 player in nation either last year or year before. He was a big DE that choose them over the buckeyes. He will be matched up against our tackles hope Young can hold his own against him.
I think it should be flipped 60/40 in Kentucky's favour. I think the emergence of Kengra and Eli on D has been a nice shot in the arm as well. My question mark is can Johnson get better in passing game? and does Gran give him some easy throws early to get him going?
IMO, we have to have a second quarterback ready to go in this game, if Johnson can't get his passing game going. Gunner should be used and ready if needed. Tomorrow is next week - not next year!

I feel like Johnson's wrist injury has almost been swept under the rug. He's a better passer than he showed against Vandy. Under throwing wide open receivers...I'm putting my eggs in the wrist injury basket and praying that's all it was. His decision making has been my biggest issue of concern...numerous passes thrown into double coverage or impossible windows. Mississippi State and Missouri are great litmus tests for his ability. Alabama and New Mexico State are two extremes that I'm not going to get too high or low off of.
We definitely need to step up the passing game. Need some short, quick hitters and get SJ's confidence up early in the MSST game, in addition to a big dose of the run game.
I wish MSU had won. I don't like the odds of putting them on a three game losing streak. If Johnson is 100% though, I think we have a good shot
One thing for sure. You wouldn't have to be anything special AT ALL to finish 2nd in the SEC East this year. And you could moderately suck and finish 3rd.
TD VANDY 17-16 over Dawgs right now over 9 minutes left on 4th. THIS UGA game coming up looks doable if we drop a Miss st or Mizz game.
I dont think Kirby Smart will in town long if he dont get going by next season. UGA cupboard was full and isnt like he inherited a Kentucky situation like Stoops. He has alot of talent on that team. No excuse for them to lose to Vandy
A D-COORDINATOR coming from a team ran by a defensive head coach. I know Smart was a hot name, but if I was going to go with a coordinator I would go with one totally in control of that side of the ball. He may work out but he is kind of running into the same problems Stoops did. UGA is very poor on the offensive side of the ball. The receivers look to not be well coached. Line is not great. The whole team looks to have taken a step back.
So KY is tied for 2nd in the East? Not bad considering it looks like we should have a good to great chance in the last 4.
