Na, we're just that good. Syracuse commit Moe Neal had -2 (yeah you read that right NEGATIVE) yards on I believe 7 carries. Our defense looked incredible...absolutely swarming to the ball. Lee had great poise in the pocket. We are about 11 deep at WR and Camp is an incredible athlete. He had 3 tds tonight. This is going to be a fun year. Can't wait to see our defense against Emmons next week.

Last year against Crest he had like -20.I have learned to never get to high or to low over a scrimmage.Next three weeks will tell a lot.

And D looks very fast...also i think 2nd string D doesnt fall far from 1st...But your right cant tell alot from scrimmages..I was hoping to see how Truck was going to do at qb..but they called game

Forestview still needs alot of work. Yea we got Moe but if he is getting pounded in backfield we might as well Fred Durst back there. 3 on O returned from last year. Biggest problem is 9 yes 9 players are in lineman numbers. I however do think Shebly is that good. They always impress me when I watch them. A well oiled machine is what they are. We're too busy playing 3A powers like South Point, Freedom, and Reynolds. Funny...what's funny is how every East Lincoln fan for the last several years has prayed that Shelby goes small 2A.

You said we don't play anybody meaning like we never lose and those were examples of 2a teams that beat us from 2007 to 2013 in the playoffs.I guess I have just learned over the years you better respect good teams and good programs.That is why you play the game on Friday night.
I agree with SHS LION, we lost to some good 2A schools in the past. However, those teams didn't have the talent this team has especially on offense. I can remember when we had two talented guys on offense at the skill positions and this team has 4 or 5. Long season and after these next 3 games we could be talking about all the work that still needs to be done.
You never know what is out there statewide either.Take for instance 1997 with the great Norris Hopper leading the way.15 and 0 with arguably the best athlete I have ever seen on a high school football team and no way anybody can beat us.Then we face what maybe the best high school team Shelby has ever faced and we go down to Clinton.

With a 87yrd run by the QB from the Get-Go and a 33-0 win, I might say Shelby is as popular as Ronda Rousey in 34 seconds.

Hmmm, that's an interesting statement. I am a EL fan and prayed they would meet Shelby. Like it or not, ELs passing game would eat them alive. Shelby doesn't play anyone even remotely close to EL as far as offensive game play goes. The spread they run along with running between the guards and tackles is Shelby Krytonite.
On the other side, I don't see EL stopping Shelby's running game and ability to create big plays with their numerous playmakers and speedsters. I see this as being a high scoring game since both teams have dynamic offenses, big playmakers and great coaching.
Hey bro Shelby beat EL in 7on 7....aready this year..and we pass 90 % of the time....i can promise u we got just as good passing game as East and a better D.
Probably a better D, but not just as good passing. 7 on 7 isn't real football. Also, last year your passing game sucked and they did not throw 90% in any game I watched. I know this season is a new season, but right now EL has the better QB and Reciever. Both of which were picked in the preseason 2A teams. Shelby is nasty this year, I watched them Friday night and I saw the passing game against FV. That doesn't mean they should be feared. EL would have beaten them last year IMO. I watched both teams play, Shelby more than EL, and that's my assessment. Only time will tell this year. My first assumption is that Shelby would win, and I don't think it would be because of their fierce passing game.
That's a huge compliment to to our program . That 1996 and 1997 Clinton team were mighty fine teams 1996 had 2 future NFL running backs. The 1997 team had a all D-1 backfield.

Your right last year we were 50/50 passing...this year will be different we has 7 rec that can go...but we do still have running game....You are right a better Qb..Surratt is good...But i belive we still will have better D....I too watched East last year in Championship..Were sure East not scared this would be a great match up....if it happens
Darquez Lee will be Shelby's starter Friday against Freedom. I cannot imagine Sarratt could have done a better job against Forestview. Lee has earned the #1 QB spot.
Didnt Shelby get blown out by 50 points by a nationally ranked Burlington Cummings in one of those title games? I know I read that on here some time back.
