Shelby needs a Week 3 opponent

They have a big name team requesting to play them week three at Shelby. Team would probably go to Shelby two years. Take the game.
Teams are so scared to play Cleveland County opponents. So scared to make yourselves better.
I didn’t say all the time. Good for this team if they agree to play at Shelby two years in a row without a return visit.
There have been changes. They have a week three but the opponent can change to a week one which is the change for Vance.
Kannapolis is open week three. Murphy was in need of three games. Mountain Heritage, Erwin are all looking. Huss may have an open week available but not positive.
We hear Shelby and now Tarboro thrown in the mix to play certain schools. Their coaches are doing their job, winning state titles.
If they do not want to take a game I am fine with that. The problem is usually with fans. Lance may feel they have a strong enough schedule to prepare them for another state title. If so, that is fine. With that said, the game(s) is available.

I couldn’t see anybody in the entire 2A classification having much of a chance against the Golden Lions, outside of South Point and maybe Reidsville.
I’d like to see them play One of the private schools such as Latin, Charlotte Christian or Charlotte Catholic.
Shelby would match up with a lot of good teams this coming season.

Need to keep the travel time to around an hour so both teams can have a decent amount of fan support.
interviews will continue through next week with no time table to make an announcement. I believe they know who they plan to hire but no official decision has been made.
County schedules are out, Shelby showing open date week 3, can that still be filled, just asking.
Still a little weak from my triple bypass but getting stronger each day!

They have a fellow 2A team that has been in the mix and will probably fill that date. I think when Lance resigned he felt it was better for the next coach to decide the opponent.
Reidsville? Dillon(I may be wrong but they're 3A now I guess....wishful thinking)?

Coach Wilbanks been trying to get someone in week 3.. Most already are filled, or simply want play.
Note game 3 is in between AC and Crest...and to be honest we dont need a high profile game...nothing to prove but getting injurys etc.
