With all these programs rebuilding their staffs this offseason, we are gonna be behind the 8 ball when it comes to finding an OC.

Maybe waiting until we reach the point of no recovery from a below .500 finish, so just 2 more games and then we can pull the trigger.

Good comparison offensive stats for LSU's OC and Shula. What LSU deems absolutely unacceptable, we deem good enough to trust in the process.

Our HC's hiring process/history doesn't give me any hope we'll find anything better. He has failed miserably at this. If it's about the money, then AD better get out the checkbook.

$50 million buyout? Makes sense. Average at your job, pay you more than 10 families would need for more than a lifetime.

We should buy a marina for all the "buyout yachts" these guys are building.

He was the best Shane could pull. No one is jumping on this sinking ship.

I do think that when a coaching change is made by SC it will be handled differently than under RT.
The question is; will it be better? Everyone was ecstatic when RT was named AD. He was the legendary baseball coach, he understood the coaching profession and he could talk to coaches in their own language. It was assumed he knew what to look for when hiring a coach. It turned out, he wasn't really good at being an AD.

Now, everyone is ecstatic that RT is gone and Donati is AD. Donati is no nonsense, has been an AD before and knows the job. Let's see if any of that translates into improvement.

Personally, I always thought Ray should have transitioned to an ambassador role. At that time, the most successful head coach of any sport in our University's history. Just have him go around and shmooze and gladhand donors.

I agree, but RT was the epitome of the Peter Principle.

That's a job he could probably handle
