It's a tough pick..I would have thought Swain would basically have no chance but after they see the game film they may. Smoky is predictable and so one dimensional. I'm still thinking Swain won't have the athletes or the line play to compete with them.

Ehhhhh this swain team is a little more athletic than people think. But it will be a tough test for the Devils.

I'm hearing Swain really struggled with their pass game last Friday. Did you see that?

i know its only week 2, but From the outside looking in it feels like this might be a back to the wall, "now or never' statement type game for this group of Swain players and staff....they been pointing to this season for seems like 5-6 years now..... as they say on NFL draft night, the Maroon Devils are on the clock......

Basin's win over Polk Co got my attention too. Either Basin has really improved or Polk Co is down this year.

It's a 50 point swing from what happened last year (42-0 Polk Co. win), so probably some of both. If you look at Basin's roster from last year, they were ridiculously young and pretty much all their stat leaders were underclassmen. But Polk also was playing their first game under a new coach and lost a 1000 yard back for the year in a scrimmage. I hope Hayesville wins, but with everybody picking the Jackets and me personally thinking it's a close call, thought it was a good bet to get some distance from the pack.
