Does anyone know how the Qb for Cherokee is ? He was hurt last week in the 3rd qt against Polk don’t know if it was anything small or something bigger never have heard. Good or bad

Yeah it's a tough one. I think Smoky is better than 0-2 would show but I believe too many people are sleeping on Swain. There is a very good chance they win SMC. If you don't believe it, you can bet that Murphy and Robbinsville believes it.

Their two leading rushers are only juniors, so wouldn't next season be more the "now or never" season?

Would love to see that!!!! 400 yards passing last year and 1 completed pass and 1 interception in week 1. What are they waiting on??? I’m sure Smoky Mountain isn’t worried about the passing game.

After watching Friday’s game via internet, looked sloppy at times. And yes, fumbled a few times. Swain is very predictable and it sounds like SM is too. Could be a good matchup.

Never count Swain out but right now Robbinsville and Murphy are on a completely different level ..with line play,running game,passing game, Swain has a bunch of catching up to do.. Now if Swain blows Smoky Mountain out, I will be rethinking my statement. Ater the 1st quarter against Smoky, Robbinsville was basically scoring on every posession..was driving to score again in the 4th and fumbled.
Folks better get used to hearing the Collins name for the Black Knights..He will be the top QB in this conference.

Little bit of a difference between Triple option and the veer. Just that Triple, the full back runs off the butt on the guard. And the veer is off tackle..

The split back veer is a triple option seeing how three different people can get the ball on any play. Veer is not just off tackle.

I bet you spent a lot of time coming up with that since the law of average says someone from the SMC will win state.Right now Murphy and Robbinsville are the two top teams.I was wondering how you have already seen those two and Mitchell play this year?

Recycled2 and Cherokeekid. Exactly the point I was getting at. Predetermined before the huddle is broke so there is no reads. So you can't call Swain a triple option. However they make up for it with the dive and offensive line play, and QB.

I'm not knocking Swain they run it as good as anyone. And they are a very tough opponent even in a "down" year

I can assure you Swain is a triple option. QB either gives or pulls the dive, and then pitches off the next threat. Sometimes a more athletic QB doesn't pitch as often bc he can make the next defender miss.
