So let's say Beamer did fire Shula? Who takes his spot during season?

I can't think of anyone that would be qualified other than Shawn Elliott.

So would he get two promotions in two weeks?

And is Elliott really who we want at OC? I love that guy. He gets people to run through a brick wall. I am really glad he is now the OL coach.

But as an OC?? We want to run the zone read and a bunch of run plays with our OL?

If not Elliott, who else?

I agree that Shula is NOT the answer. But I don't know that getting rid of him right now solves any issues at all?

So this is interesting... I posted this about 90 minutes ago.

I see a lot of posts saying Shula shouldn't make it with a job until tomorrow. Hey, I agree in theory.

But no one has any response as to who Beamer should fill-in for the rest of the year????

If not, then I can sort of understand why Beamer shouldn't fire Shula. You sort of have to have someone to replace him with.

Elliott or the guy from Limestone. I don't know of anyone on the analyst staff that could do it.

Yeah, we’re stuck with Shula, and we are who we are at this point. There’s no one on staff who would be better………The scary part is I won’t be surprised to see Beamer roll right into next year with Shula still at OC.

If not Shula it will be another coach that no SEC team would hire as an OC. No good OC is gonna jump on this train wreck and Beamer has never been able to get a “hot” hire

Wasn’t Shula already promoted from within when Logains left? If he was the best option in the hc’s opinion then they ain’t got anyone else. This is what it’s going to be until the end of the 2026 season.

There was a South Park episode where the government made major decisions based off chopping a chickens head off and dumping it into a pit where options were painted on the floor. Waiting to see where the chicken stopped running.

I cant decide if this is how Shula is running our offense, or if it would actually be an improvement.

I know I am being cynical, but I think we are stuck with Beamer and probably Shula for the time being. In a few years, Beamer's buyout will come down enough where he can be let go and we can try again.

A magic 8 ball calling plays would be an upgrade.

I recall the joy when Shula was named OC. He was going to bring that NFL experience and really turn Sellers into an elite qb.

It hasn't really worked out that way.

Could anyone do a worse job than Shula? It doesn’t matter. I'd bring G A Mangus back.

I heard that same BS and thought "let's see how the bowl game goes" Well, we saw.
