So Trey Phelps and Mini-J got tossed for taunting and arguing today. Can’t participate in Game 1.

So the 1st baseman and 2nd baseman and ump were all wrong in what they saw and heard? Both the 1st basemen and 2nd basemen were like "what the hell dude"

I am going to go with the ump, just going to imagine that he heard/saw something trashy and said get that trash out of here. (the ump was black so don't even try to say it was race related)
So tell me how the 2nd baseman heard what he said or could even see who he was talking to FROM SECOND BASE. Or the first baseman for that matter. And there is absolutely zero evidence the ump ejected him bc he heard anything either, as opposed to just ejecting him because it looked bad and the coaches complained. Look at the guys in the dugout that he was facing. Not a single one reacted. Your entire argument hinges on a 1st baseman complaining, and therefore it must be valid? No objective evidence anywhere to support it. Get out of your feelings, and look at the evidence.

Nearly all the guys in the dugout reacted.

Grabbing your junk and then waving "bye bye" to the dugout and saying something to them, going to get you ejected 100% of the time. Coach Wes called this "waving to his family", which shows you the virtue and character they have leading in the locker room. This is Wes' "show your *ss" season, clearly, and his players have embraced that classless trash behavior this season. Wes is actually in the post game conference 100% lying about it.

End of discussion.

It's too close.

Even his dad is saying he was wrong. Give it up. Guy did a stupid thing and is now paying for it.

I can understand a fist pump, slow start to first while you watch a 400ft homer and a steady jog around the bases while soaking up the moment followed by a wave to the crowd. What he did came across as a smartass taunt that makes you want to knock his teeth out. Sportsmanship was not present in the moment. Good call to toss him.
370' it says on the fence just to the right of there the LF attempted to jump and catch it

Umps have been fairly consistent so far in the regionals: talk sh*t, go sit
I'm absolutely good with it. You have to control it or you end up with the garbage like we had with Vitello and the Tennessee program a few years ago. If colleges can't promote good, sportsmanlike conduct then what are they there for? There is a difference between showing genuine excitement and emotion versus just taunting your opponent and essentially egging on a fight.

Fact:

Who hasn’t grabbed their junk when waving to their mother?

I really don't give a crap about this game but based on my observations I'd say acting like an *** is standard behavior for UGA under Johnson.

So does anyone consider this a Karma payback for the one-sided mass ejection hose job during the Johnny Long incident?

He said his parents were behind that dugout and he was waving at them. Even if true that doesn't explain his behavior after he went by each base. Both he and his coach will be watching the first game at home. This is the NCAA not the SEC they are appealing to.

I know this is a "get off my lawn" statement.

I hit a homerun that was a no doubter so I got out of the batters box slowly and trotted around the bases. I get back to the dugout and Coach Polk is there and shakes my hand as he always did and holds out a stop watch and says "need to speed it up from now on".

Jack Lazorko would have gone into the Georgia locker room to throw one at him.

I just see Polk as trying his best to coach virtue (humility)

Don't I remember Coach Polk saying that if you were in a race with a pregnant woman, you would come in 3rd?

Tre is loaded with talent and I will enjoy watching him play one day in the majors. I think he will look back on that moment and realize he is proud of getting the winning hit, but not so proud of his sinking to low class juvenille behavior to rub it in (to LIBERTY of all teams lol - weak flex there boss)

I'm sure he did while he was playing handball against the curb.

My speed was compared to guys like Mike Kelly and Glen Young in those "jokes".

It was funny when we would have the open tryouts and the speeds would get posted suddenly I wasn't towards the bottom. I was well above the middle.

I didn’t see the play, so he maybe he did something extra. I’m certainly not defending him or Georgia but seems like they could throw people out every game if taunting is worthy of getting tossed.

I’d be all for getting this **** largely out of the game. It’s annoying. But I’m just not sure the time to start enforcing this is in the regionals. But with that said, I’ll certainly take not having to play him.
Go back and watch it, he really earned his ejection. It’s as if he was taunting the officials to toss him.
