Is Vandy a bad team and the UK win was a bad win or is Vandy a good team and the UK win was legit. Lots of people were dissing Vsndy about how awful they were and now saying how good they are.

None of these teams are any good in the east (other than UT and perhaps FL and I think FL will suffer 3-4 losses by the endd of the year).

Whatever it takes to minimize the UK program.

I call them the "yeabuts". No matter what we do they will cast it in a negative light:

Fan: We spent $200M on upgrading our football facilities
Yeabut: Yea but we still have one of the smallest stadium in the SEC

Fan: We have a top 20 recruiting class
Yeabut: Yea but were only 11th in the SEC

Fan: We beat ______
Yeabut: Yea but they aren't any good this year.

I'm sure that had we beat Alabama there would have been a Yeabut come on here and say "Yea but it's a down year for the Tide."

It's futile to argue with a yeabut becasue they enjoy failure too much.

The analogies only work when they make UK look bad and the fans more desperate. Just the same as you can't say vandy beat Georgia and we beat vandy therefore we can beat georgia. No you have to say tennessee only beat Georgia by 3 and UT beat Florida By 10, which we lost to. Therefore we will lose to Georgia. Or something like that is how people do it on here.

Only for those that gave up too soon on the season. It ain't over til it is over.
After the first two games it looked pretty over,I've been a fan for a very long time and I can't remember 2 opening games in which we looked less organized or competitive. Like Casey,I wondered "can anybody here play this game?"Things have gotten better,we will see how much better. We are at the point in time where the late season meltdowns occurred the past 2 years,it doesn't look like that will happen this year but I'll reserve judgement till next week.

Yes it is,we can't read too much into one day of football but the possibility of winning 3 of our remaining games seems greater than when we got up this morning.
That's true. So if Mark Stoops wants to prove the doubters wrong then get it done. There are really no excuses now because it's becoming clear that the competition isn't all that stiff.

I don't really see much of a change. MSU, Missouri and UGA were potential wins before today and nothing I saw changed my mind. It is EXTREMELY unlikely UK wins all 3 swing games though. Of course if we win 2 and go 4-4 in conference make a bowl we'll all be happy. Of course the horrendous USM loss makes us have to win 2/3. I think our best chance is to win the home games.

If the unthinkable happens and we win all 3 of the swing games Miss St..Mizzou and UGA will that change anyone's mind?

CMS wins 6 we can go back to bitching about the offense, defense and special teams.

That's what fans of good teams do. Complain about what could be better, even with a win.

Bad teams have fans that want a new coach.

The SEC East is experiencing it's worst 4 years in the history of the divisions.

Can we please take advantage of it??? !!!!!!

I have seen a little bit improvement in all those areas this season. It is what fires my hope for this year. Slow but sure.

The QB runs the offense, the D produces some 3 and outs against some good teams, and the special teams puts up a 6. And we are 50-50 in wins and losses.

A poster here could twist that up.
6 is the number of wins we need this year.
I just said 7 because the previous poster was assuming we win all three swing games. I said at the start of the season that CMS needed to have us bowling this season. Get my boy and I a road trip in December and I'll get back with the Stoops program. But nothing less than that is acceptable, for this fan at least.

And this team UK team has grown over the 1st half of the season. Not world shaking but better than the start of the season.
It has grown but that unnecessary loss to Southern Miss was huge. We could be 4-2 right now, have a guaranteed win over Peay and only need to beat one of MSU, UGA or Mizzou to make a bowl. Now we need to beat two of those three.

Okay. You think we don't have chance to do that?
