From KSR:
"Freddie Maggard recently said, “Don’t talk to me about recruiting unless they’re defensive linemen.” Stoops did just that today. He said they need a “bunch,” up to six or seven in the 2018 recruiting class."

Only disagreement is why not in 2017? (Unless that's a mis-statement.)

Thought he was talking '17. At any rate, UK needs 3-4 more in this class.

2 DTs and 1 DE in the 13 commits for 2017. Maggard is right, we need more big D linemen. Go Cats!!

It's hard not to think the attrition and turnover for that specific position group may be Stoops demise... something he had no control over.

Don't even get me started on the Tubman case. Guilty until proven innocent is the new mantrra

I agree on 2018 and 2017. It I think the focus for 2017 should be on going and finding two or three JUCO D-lineman, maybe a graduate transfer or two and we should also suck it up and find a couple of kids to "give a second chance" to. We need some players with some physical maturity.

4 years in and this is just now an issue for Stoops? This is the main reason the SEC has dominated for so many years. NFL caliber D-linemen.

The cake is pretty much baked for the 2017 class. That being said, whatever recruiting is left to be done for 2017 needs to be focused almost exclusively on DE/DTs.

Losing Meant, Tubman and Hatcher at the same time when all 3 were expected to play/start D-line is pretty tough to recover from at any school, much less here and before the cupboards are adequately filled. We've had CRAZY attrition at D-line since before Brooks even. Remember the Jarmon crap! It's a UKFB tradition. If nothing else, we need to stockpile warm bodies at those 2 spots.

This coming year is stoops year 5 and we are talking about this. Pathetic on so many levels.

Honestly, don't talk to me about Kentucky / stoops recruiting classes at all. Aside from the running back position, it all sucks. The offensive line is pitiful, D line is pitiful, quarterbacks are pitiful.
