Such a boring, fun home schedule.

This year is likely our most boring home schedule (in terms of competition) but it has been pretty satisfying (because we won).

Im so used to getting hype for a big game vs a top ten team, hoping we take down Florida or even Louisville. This year our biggest/hardest home game is Georgia( lost to Vandy, barely beat Nicholls state).

Anybody else feel weird? Im loving the easier schedule though, but I wouldnt mind bringing a ranked team to Commonwealth to see how this team would react. 4-1 at home so far with a bad loss vs USM. The schedule was very kind to us and for once our team was able to take advantage of these easier games. Huge props to our team and staff. They are doing things past teams couldnt do (win the games that SHOULD/COULD win).

Next year we will have (likely ranked) Florida, (forsure ranked) UofL, (forsure ranked) UT, (likely ranked) Ole Miss. Should be a fun year. Cant wait to see what our team made up of the most SRs and JRs we have had in a while can do.

Nope, I'm happy getting some sure thing wins at home. The fan base and the team need them.

My biggest thing every year when I look at the schedule is to make sure our toughest games are on the road. This year, our 4 toughest games (Florida, Bama, UT, Louisville) are all on the road. That is a HUGE advantage for us. Regardless of whether we play those 4 teams at home or away (being a realist here), odds are pretty good we lose no matter what. Give me teams like Vandy, Mississippi State, South Carolina and UGA (with the season they are having) at home, giving us a much better chance of winning those games. That Southern Miss game is going to haunt us!

Good point OP ... it is a funny year in terms of how weak the home schedule is. Right now, the best home opponent we'll face all year is Mississippi State (#64 in the S&P+).

I'd guess you'd have to go back to the 1930's to find a year in which we didn't play a Top 50 opponent in Lexington.

I feel like some people read part of a thread title then respond. I literally said they have been fun and I am satisfied.

Ill sum it up for you since you hate reading
-Competition-boring
-Games-fun anyways
-Having a ranked team at Commonwealth would be good to see vs this team.

I'll add, it's a pretty significant factor in dynamic where we may go to a bowl and not come close to selling out a single game at Commonwealth. We need good opponents bringing crowds of their own and exciting our fanbase to fill the joint.

Nashville/Birmingham/Charlotte will be pulling every string to get us on those games. Those are reasonable trips, and although home attendance hasn't been great (no visitor has hardly filled their lower allotment) places knows bbn will travel. Charlotte against a good opponent could sell out, Nashville would sell out, and be a great crowd in Birmingham (small schools don't travel well)

Schedules are made in advance. All you can do is try to win the games on your schedule. Winning is more fun than losing, for sure. I do agree, however, that the home schedule isn't very exciting.

You really can't give a complete compliment to this team, can you?

I also remarked on wanting to see team vs a ranked team in Commonwealth becayse of my confidence. And I said I was satisfied with our wins.

Do I need to go give Mark a kiss?

What more should I do? Lie and say our schedule has been hard? Say the teams we have played at Commonwealth have been good? Say the team is top 10?

Sheesh how about people move on with themselves. You all act like I am the miserable one but you all get mad when I try to compliment someone. Youre like a girlfriend who just cant move on.

But really buddy, just stop.
