What does that have to do with going to Alaska? They won. You could say the same for Rita. The prep bowl is a consolation game.
I once drove to Atlanta from Chicago to get hammered. Well worth it.
Bravo to the Taft principal, coaches and their team - always found them to be great competitors - no excuses, just good sportsmen. Should be a great experience for all of them.
Excuses wasn’t aimed at Taft, more of a general tongue on cheek jab on travel expense as an excuse in scheduling.
Sounds like a great experience for the kids! I recall watching a special on the high school team from Barrow, Alaska. I think they played their games on a slate field? It wasn't real grass, not turf either.

I have some concerns with their lateral speed, making pulling schemes difficult. Might have them on the DL in a 4-3, first and second down situations.
Seems like a good trip to me. How many people get to see Alaska? It may belong to Russia soon so if we plan on going we gotta do it soon.
