Not true. Some really good players in Tennessee. Not sure where you get that info.

not to the extent of the big dawns in conference. Certainly not a pipeline State for other programs like LSU, Georgia, Bama, Auburn etc.

I understand the history of Fulmer. He won football games and they were the top of the SECE when he was there.

Now they aren't.....
Florida owned his ***, he was never the top of the SEC East. UT had 2 great years in 97 and 98, that's it. They owned UK no denying that but UT hasn't been great minus a couple years in a very long time like the Eisenhower administration.

@morgousky are you really from Dyersburg? You stated it was a bordering county. Dyer County borders Missouri, not Kentucky.

I am a damn walk from union city, which is minutes from Fulton.

Am I closer to Missouri, sure. But I am in the Northwest corner of Tennessee. Less than 45 minutes from Kentucky. Hell, I am 20 minutes from Missouri and probably around 38 from Kentucky. I consider it a bordering county when it comes to dealing with UT fans and being a UK fan. Who in their right mind would make up being from dyersburg, Loosen up poindexter.

We've beat down USC teams for 3 straight years. Vandy? We should NEVER lose to Vandy. They are the true doormat of the conference. Our recent wins account for around 13 combined victories. I'm sorry, I'll take it, but I won't scream and shout about it. Stoops is not guaranteed anything yet.

Again, Fulmer was losing his grip, and his winning was a result of pure cheating. They ran him off because he wasn't really producing for all of the BS they were having to dodge by the NCAA. Tennessee had a shot at several bad *** coaches but they retained Fulmer way too long. He was a snitch, and unless he was producing in big ways, they weren't going to retain him. Tennessee is no longer a power name. Big time coaches don't want to go there. They have little in state recruiting and are land locked. It's an average SEC program. Losing Fulmer didnt hurt, changing coaches is not the problem, being who they are is the problem. They just arent used to it yet.

I am not following you on the recruiting. Tennessee is in the top 10 in the nation right now In recruiting. the state itself has 13 four Star players and by comparison the state of Ohio has the same amount 13. with the way the state is growing they will only continue to produce even more talented players in 10 years they might have 18 - 20. 4 star players.

As long as our fans don't allow 6 wins to be a measuring stick for the future, I'm fine with it this season. After that, we should expect 8 win season with a shot at 9 after a bowl win. Anything less and we arent expecting what our recourses are providing.

I want more than 6 wins per year. But, that's not why people are pumped. Sure, the East is down. But, we're winning. And we're doing what good SEC teams do--control the clock and gash you with the run game. Barring an injury, I think we can win out.

Well Butch sucks and he's always been an arrogant POS. More than happy he didn't want to be at UK cause we wouldn't have been Happy. Lots of good friends who like UT, but none like Butch.

You should really stop using "we" and just speak for yourself. Once the train gets going it won't slow down for you to get on, and thankfully won't slow down for you to get off.

My dad is from Mayfield KY, and I was raised in Dyersburg, TN, a bordering county in west Tennessee. I've dealt with these A$$holes my entire life. Anyone calls me a UT fan, better hope theres an internet between us.

You're dad isn't Ulismyman by any chance, is he?

You seem like the kinda dude growing up that didn't have any loyalty just always went with the "hot/IT" team...just an observation. You sure did get awful defensive about UT...hmmmm

The Cats have won every SEC game that most fans expected them to win. The early loss to USM was unfortunate. The way they lost to UF was compounding. But, the SEC Ws and Ls have been according to many reasonable fans' expectations.

To be fair, when morgus-whatever their name is or senor lair begin typing, I usually have to show ignored content. Otherwise it looks like a few posters are talking to themselves.

Both are known barnhart bashers and called for Stoops' head as soon as things looked shaky. Not sure if they're trolls or just ignant, but they only appeared after the USM loss.... Sooo......

Screw UT!

You're good. I just want UK to be great in both sports. I won't settle for less. Nothing pisses me off more than Uk fans begging for mediocrity.
We have won 5 oout of the last 6 football games. What else can you effing expect?

Tennessee is a straight up dumpster fire and I freakin love it! [banana]

The expectations of their fan-base and the national CFB media absolutely imploded and it makes me :joy:.

There isn't a more ignorant, self-righteous, delusional fan base in all of college football.

Tennesse is a dead power, and I love it.

They don't have top notch recruiting in state. They were caught cheating and had to back off. Fulmer was cheating his *** off, and it's the only reason they got by like they did through the 90's and 2,000's. He was the NCAA's snitch, and they let him escape while hammering other programs, like Bama. They can't compete, in the modern day, with recruiting hot beds like Florida, LSU, Georgia, and Alabama.

Tennessee is now a second tier, South Carolina type program.

They will never be great, but fans expectations are through the roof. This guarantees they will have mad player and coach turnover until the younger generations accept the reality. They are just an average SEC program.

Eat your heart out Volwequeers.
Wait, what? UT is a "second tier" program, yet they are going to run the table with the rest of their schedule? Gotchya.

Just like they SHOULD have beaten a horrible South Carolina team starting a freshman QB for the first time
Lets not get ahead of ourselves.....SC's true fresman QB left HS a year early, should be in HS right now.His dad coached Marcus Lattimores HS team, let Jake call the plays and they moved the ball up and fown the field! Impressive?? If you consider Jake was only in 5th grade at the time, I'd say VERY! Kid knows how to play and can spin it as well!
That being said.....I just hope Vols don't hang another 50 spot on us this year....ridiculous how UK has let them man handle them !!!

I understand that. But Tennessee will be favored to win out. Nothing I said is inaccurate. And as son as UK nosedives, if we do, you'll jump back on the other side of the fence, just like before. At least I'm consistent.
Actually this kind of turmoil can make a team lose focus. I remember back in 2008 it was announced that Fulmer was being let go at the end of the season. Later that week, Wyoming came in as a 26 point dog to Knoxville and beat them.

The Vols definitely have the talent to win out the rest of their schedule, even in spite of their injuries. However, widespread dissension on a team will tear things apart, and at this point I give UK a respectable shot at beating them. We're definitely the most challenging game left on their schedule.

Via his personal Twitter page, Tennessee sophomore defensive lineman Jonathan Kongbo cryptically tweeted out this image:

Not exactly a positive sign following the tough defeat to South Carolina.

The redshirt sophomore out of Canada was regarded as the top JUCO prospect in the entire country last offseason. He signed with Tennessee over offers from Alabama, Ole Miss, USC and Florida State, and was expected to immediately bolster the Vols’ pass rush.

Maybe he is just changing cleats and getting rid of these.

Losing Fulmer, as the coach, didn't hurt.

Losing fulmer's cheating ways, hurt.

Do you not understand this history of Phillip Fulmer at UT? Do you not know about his cheating and snitching?
Fulmer's downfall began when his BFF and protector Roy Kramer stepped down as SEC Commissioner.

Jalen Hurd confirmed to be quitting team and transferring. All over the twitter machine this morning.

No idea about Kongbo or the rest, but when a potential All-American quits on your team, things must be really bad internally.

If this is indeed true, there is probably a pretty good divide in the locker room(Hurd's friends vs coaching staff with other players caught somewhere in the middle. If you throw in all the injuries and the South Carolina loss there are likely other players that volunteer to quit. This would be worse than the situation we had with Towles/Barker/Dawson last year. I hope there is a big mess down at UT,the bigger the better.
