Until they can prove that they can beat the the bottom dwellers of the conference with their "best players" Kentucky has ever had then attendance will remain low.

You really expect anyone to fight traffic and pay $4 for a coke to sit and watch this crap?

People aren't there because they don't believe in Stoops not because of the weather. A lot of people see that we only are beating a few really mediocre teams and we are struggling to do that. They have lost faith in Stoops and this performance so far is doing nothing to change that. He has to win them back but playing like this won't do it. I think many are done for the year and if we lose this one, many more will join them. This is a must win for Stoops.

I doubt any could start for the 76 or 77 team. Not enough heart

The truth is, this isn't really a horrible product by KY standards.

We are 3-3, have 2 conference wins, and this is a SEC night game at home.

Twenty years ago, before every game was on television (including everyone else's games), you would have packed this place to watch this game.

Kentucky football games are fun, and this is a decent team.

If I lived in central ky, or was a student, not only would I be there, I would take my kids.

I would counter that if they win this game, it is more likely than not that we go to a bowl.game so this is a "decent" team.

And I would counter that people said the same thing at this point in the season last year, and especially the year before that.

Facts are facts. When Kentucky strings wins together, the fans follow suit. Not really an arguable point.

Truth is I turned down great tickets because its simply better to watch on a huge HD screen at home...able to flip to numerous games

Live events are way overrated

Well, we've won 4 of 5....does that equal "stringing" a few wins together?
I think/hope you'll see better attendance at Missouri next week, but I think anyone who complains about Kentucky football fans after the **** they've put up with for years and how well they show out when the program IS consistently competitive to some degree is hilariously dumb

I don't disagree with you on your point, but I do think TV has played a huge role in declining attendance as well.

But, I would hope, should we win next week, that we will see a packed house against UGA.

Flat wrong. Our fans have shown plenty of times that they'll fill it up if you put a decent team on the field.
That's called "fair weather fans"! Not true fans. I hope for more wins, but if I lived close to Commonwealth I would try to make as many games as I could afford. Still manage one / year. 250 miles away, retired, limited budget now. Fans? Meh.

Good for you. Call it whatever you want, it's not unreasonable to think a team should go above .500 for once in 5 years before it's fair to expect fans to show up in droves.

I'm not sure why you guys think beating really bad teams will bring the fans back. Im glad we won but beating god awful, South Carolina, garbage New Mexico State, terrible Vandy, and and a horribe Mississippi State team isn't going to change anything for someone who gave up on the team.
