When you first look at it that doesn't seem to make any sense. But when you start to look at it and actually think about it a little, it really doesn't make any sense NOT to put them in the East.</p>

But the more I think about it, the more I can see it happening. Mizzou isn't really that far from the Tennessee and Kentucky schools and their distance from Georgia isn't too much further than what we have to deal with. The only really really far away games they'd have to deal with are SC and UF and that's not a too big sacrifice. Make them and aTm permanent rivals and the scheduling becomes that much more easier. When we make the move to 16 and if we are able to get 2 teams from the East, then Mizzou can come over to the West.

Arkansas makes much more sense for a permanent West opponent than A&M does. Everyone just assumes that A&M and Mizzou should be permanent opponents, but they were never in the same division in the Big 12 (until this year) and they've only played something like 10 times in their history. </p>

I only say that because you have permanent rival games in UF/LSU and USCe/Arkansas. The only reason the last one is established is because they both were the last 2 teams to enter the SEC and it made sense to just throw them together. I don't really know the history for the UF/LSU matchup though. If we move Mizzou to the East, I'm not in favor of them disrupting already established permanent rivals just for location. Even if we did make Mizzou and Ark permanents, that would mean SC and aTm would have to be permanents and I don't see that being that much better.

Doing something like that would disrupt a few rivalries and i see a lot of schools not being to happy.
