Thankfully, they didn't allow the Starkvegas Mayor to be involved

She is full of herself. When she spoke at Dudy Noble field a few years ago I did not think she would ever shut up.
Well, the people of Starkville obviously like her. Her election wasn’t even close.

Did you happen to see who she was running against...especially in the primary? I think choosing between the lesser of two evils might be applicable here?!?

I wish she could get control of the abandoned railroad track between Blutos and Hwy 12. Developing that would do great things for the city. She has been negotiating with the railroad, but they won't budge.

I've ridden on the Tanglefoot a couple of times. That would be fantastic for Starkville.

I don't know how many folks will want to walk/hike/bike from Ackerman to WP, but the section running through Starkvegas could be developed into something awesome.
Who would have ever thought people would have wanted to do that from New Albany to Houston either. With Starkville being in the middle it would get used a LOT.

I assume we are talking about Lynn Spruill. Her bio seems impressive and she's a graduate of Starkville High and MSU with a degree in Business. I thought this was the most impressive thing on her Bio........

As a United States Naval Officer and pilot she became the first woman in the history of the Navy to qualify as a carrier pilot in 1979.

I can only ask.....what the heck did she do to hack everybody off here?

I'm not so sure the Navy thing completely correct. I believe the first women to land on a carrier was in 1981. You have to land on one to be qualified.

She has a D by her name so it puts people in fits of rage. Starkville is a weak mayor city. The mayor is more of a figurehead and basically just another alderman-at-large

Starkville is unfortunately a left-leaning city. 17 that pompous, self-centered, good-for-nothing mayor and the horse she rode in on.
She’s a liberal looney, that’s true. However, she’s done a lot to improve the city during her time as mayor. I’m glad she won again and I’m not close to liberal. But yeah, she would’ve spouted off about gays at the BOC event.

At least she acknowledges that Starkville needs the University. Starkville HATED MSU when I was there. Starkville without MSU is Macon or Aberdeen. I take it that is what you want.
No we want a mayor who likes the university and isn’t a left leaning cunnt who shuts down the city during Covid and then throws private parties at her house during that
