Thanks SWO ...WHAT A GREAT YEAR

We have a Coach. I'm sure Coach Dempsey and the others assistants will be around for a long time. He will build a program that is in it a lot of years , like the last two..

The team provided great games and stellar performances. Jordan finished the year with over 2800 yards and 37 TDs. Sadly he is a senior with a lot of other Stallions. Dugan will be gone also along with Green and Rouse. I will get to follow D. Green as he is going to Oklahoma for collage ball. Good news is Anderson is a Jr and will return along with other lineman. Thomas was a great QB, a super runner as well.

We will see all the ECC teams and hopefully our conference makes strides for next year. And of course will look for Northeastern next year. Im sure they will be there, as I hope we are. Will be rooting for them in the upcoming State Title Game. If some small compensation we would like to say it took a TRUE CHAMPION to put us out. Weather they win it this year they are THE BEST IN THE EAST.

Should be a great game. I hate that it conflicts with Jacksonville and Pamlico County. I hate to miss those games but I'm sticking with 2A and going to this game. Can't wait to see it. On a sad note it will be the last high school game for me this season. Hate to see it end.


Just saw that I was wrong about Pamlico County. It's at 3pm. Maybe I can make that.

I hunt deer, turkey. When my grandson was here used to do a lot of squirrel hunting with him. Havnt for quite a while now but used to do a lot of Quail and Dove.

Sounds like Eastern NC. I've been close to Missouri but never into it.

When I was there they would come onto the field in single file, led by Tommy Barnes our D coach. they would Gong a loud Bell real slow as they walked out of the school, All you heard was the Click Clack of the clets on the pavement, thru the endzone and down the Home side line. When the lead player reached the 50 the Music would break out in Hells Bells (real loud). They would sprint into the endzone and come out on to the field in waves in the alignment for warmups. I kind of like the Orange smoke also.

Last Week at SWO when WRH played them they came out and walked to the other end of the field and came back under the goal post. They had a ton of orange and black smoke. The smoke was handheld and they carried it with the team to the sideline. So smoke was from the endzone to the SWO sideline. Not much breeze and with a cool air it hung over the field for a short while after the game started. Very impressive.

East Duplin had a nice entrance last year when they played North Davidson in the Eastern Finals. I went to see the kicker Chris Dunn that kicked at State this year. They had a nice smoke and fireworks entrance. I wasn't expecting anything like that and by the time it started and I got over the surprise at what I was seeing I only got a few pictures of it. Maybe the best high school entrance I have ever seen around here.
