Hear me out. One, our dream/hopes are realistic, we know we arent an Ohio State or Alabama level program. But going 111-2, making the playoff, thats a realistic dream to have happen once every 5-7 years here. We the resources and recruiting base to do it.

At #11, they were giving us the hype. The national vibes. We had a Heisman contender. The NCAA video game phenom that all recruits use jn the game (laugh buf for teens this is huge exposure). The all world defensive end.

We had all eyes on us, showcasing the 10/10 home night environment. And VANDY came in and blew us out. We looked embarrassing. So sloppy. Uninspired.

2015 vs Citadel? That season had already collapsed. We were bad and already knew it. Its really was an irrelevant game. This wasnt. And with our schedule, this was a crucial “likely win”. And Vandy beat the dog **** out of us, at our place at night

Sellers, Harbor, Stewart are likely gone in January. So will many others. Our schedule is simply too difficult to be an inconsistent program.

You may be correct on that. This was worse than ugly!! I don’t blame Doty, he was thrown into a sinking ship trying to bail out the water. Best this team can hope for is a 6-6 season. Maybe beat the Taters, Worst part, the horizon is dim. Sellers will be gone, Harbor will be gone and Stewart will bail. This is u less they do something with this crazy *** portal.

Yep. Last season is really feeling like 2017 now, Muschamps 9 win season, generated some hype, then total collapse.

We just arent a serious program. We are a fun program, hype GameDay atmosphere, some exciting individual players, some fun/funny coaches like Spurrier. But we just arent a truly serious program, otherwise Ray Tanner never makes football decisions, players dont make such undisciplined decisions, we dont lead the nation in fan elections, etc etc

All they talked about was how tough it was for visitors to play a Bill B, well not if team is bad. Unfortunately the fans can’t play offense or defense.

We were manhandled by Vandy at home. We have a fragile team and a fragile coach. Beamer loses it on the sidelines and the team loses focus. Seems like the coaches did too.

We have so its possible but not the norm. We share a small state w another potentially good team so its hard
NIL and the portal has changed the landscape and the 11 win seasons were pre-NIL and pre-portal, different world now. Yu can't "build" a team anymore, players come and go like the wind. We are a mid to lower level SEC team, I see nothing that will change that, we don't have the coaches, players or $$ to change it. Vandy is the same as us, they will have a "good" year ( ur "good" year was last year, but Vandy will drop back to their previous levels soon.

I don't agree honestly. We all knew there was a legit chance we could lose. Vandy is a tough team this year. UGA and UT would beat them and I'm not saying they make the playoff but definitely could see them in a really good bowl. They returned a ton of guys (entire defense) and were ticked about how we embarrassed them last year. So they embarrassed us. It's a tough loss but nowhere near like losing to The Citadel. Sellers going out is viewed as a reason for the rout too-true or not. Theres no way to spin losing to The Citadel. What frustrates me is how Doty is so inept after 6 years in the program. I thought Cutter Woods was having a solid spring (instead he's being redshirted). The second half was unwatchable last night.

Yes, when you hire someone who is not an AD to be your AD in the SEC you are not serious.

Making the playoff in our situation requires finishing in the Top 3 or 4 in the SEC.

We actually don't have the resources to do that unless NIL funding drops out of the sky and we push into the Top 10 in recruiting for a few years.

Spurrier's teams looked almost exactly like Beamer's team until danced his way into the Top10/12 for that stretch.

That's when we started to see a decent OL and team which could sustain a signficant injury and still survive.

Dancing our way into that position again is now impossble -- you have to buy your way in.

1. Doty- I hate to rag on the guy but I’m sorry; Doty’s just not an SEC football player much less an SEC qb. If Sellers is out and Doty is named starter the team will just pack it in.
2. Someone mentioned video games; that’s what Saturday night reminded me of, someone playing a video game that’s not familiar with the controller.
