100% fact that our record is a result of beating up terrible teams. But hell. 6 wins is 6 wins. Im not 100% sold on Stoops yet still. We need to beat a team with a winning record before im completely sold. Which hasnt happened in years under stoops. But i feel like we could beat at least one of UGA (if they make bowl), UT, and UL. IF we get at least one of those which i think we will. I'll say Stoops has probably proven himself. Though not sure how a UGA win will shape up for us at end of season if they finish 5-7. So we may have to beat one of UT and UL. We can't have good season and lay an egg next season though.
Are you happy that we turned a disasterous start into a bowl season?
Are you happy that we came up with a (a second one really) RB prospect that is really exciting to watch-----and that he is only a true freshman?
Are you happy that the turnaround will help retain some very good commits, and maybe even attract some even better ones, especially with the improvement on the OL AND the DL? (The Mizzou announcers thought UK might have the THIRD best OL in the SEC-----and they should be better next year, IMO).
Are you happy that our OC and QB coach have managed to rework our offense (which lost our 4* starter and is using our 3* transfer) is still scoring enough to win games in the SEC, possibly the most since 1977, only a 2.5 dog to Georgia?

And are you happy that we won't be firing this staff (was never going to happen anyway) or are you one of the losers that are disappointed that we won't be starting all over again?

So you mean to tell me that UK was beating SC, Vandy, Miss St all those years when they were really good? Oh wait, no, because, they've generally not been good historically. And yet we still would lose to them. Yet, here we are, winning 4 conference games for only the 5th time in 40+ years. I guess when you are extremely WRONG, you gotta make excuses. Cats can only play the teams on their schedule. All of those teams have been ahead in some ranking measures before we beat them...some STILL are.
Sure, we gotta start winning our share against FL, GA, UT, and UL. But you can't build a successful program until you beat teams like SC, Vandy, Miss St, and Mizzou most years. So far - 2 in a row vs Mizzou, 3 in a row vs SC, ending losing streaks vs Miss St and Vandy. That's how you build a program.
Stoops has built this program methodically and without shortcuts. Sure, some other coach could have come in and maybe won a bit earlier but not sure they would have built anywhere near the foundation that Stoops has for future success.

Just for the record, our opponent's record wouldn't look so bad if we weren't beating them. Take away our win against them:

South Carolina 5-3
Miss St 4-4
Mizzou 3-5

MSU, SC and even Vandy have been very good over the last decade in comparison to us. Especially MSU. SC has only sucked the last 3 years, Vandy about 4-5 years. MSU has been good for the last decade. I think there's a reason we beat these teams once they bottomed out. Dont be that guy that acts like we beat some great teams. We have the potential to beat some good teams. But as of now we haven't beaten anyone any good. I actually posted a thread weeks ago saying we could start out 5-2 with wins over abunch of terrible teams. I'm not going to eat too much crow considering i predicted it. We got lucky to play SC when we did. If they had Bently Playing like he is now when we played them. We probably wouldve lost.
If this wasnt the worst year for the SEC East in a long time. Then we wouldnt have 4 SEC wins. Don't be naive. We're a product of a very weak division. I find it pathetic when people try to act like we're beating bowl teams. Like why make more of the situation than what it is? So the UK fans that acknowledge truth are a disgrace? Vandy?
