Alabama as of yesterday had 19 players in the portal. We all know how highly rated they are. Hope to get one of their lineman

It’s sad that there are a lot of those guys who won’t find a spot. There needs to be some control over this- maybe the GIA letter becomes a contract between the university and the player, which protects the player from being “recruited over” or getting bumped for some reason other than grades, conduct, etc. transfers would still be allowed but some restrictions. I don’t know- but it’s getting out of hand.

Players have to make decisions but they better be careful. It will he interesting to see what percentage of the kids end up with no home.

It’s emboldened coaches to push kids into the portal. Which is fair. If the kid isn’t committed for 4 years, why should the coach/school be ?

“Hey - you’re going in the portal. Do you want to do so voluntarily or have us do it?”

Brohm will very quickly churn the bottom of your roster when he gets settled in down there and has had a chance to evaluate everyone.
