This basketball team is well balanced.

First exhibition game, Moultrie, Lewis, and Sidney were our leading scorers. Tonight Steele, Bost, and Hood were our leading scorers. I know it's only exhibition play, but it's good to see that the team doesn't have to count on just one facet of our game to get the job done. Close 1st half, dominant second half. Good way to cap off exhibition play

But seriously it looks like defensively we've stepped it up in both second halves we've played so far. We put together 4 or 5 baskets in a row and get stops in between and before you know it we are up double digits. I think defensively this has the chance to be one of our better teams. We have good size and long arms at all 5 positions. It's early, but I like what this team has done so far.

I just don't know if I see this team blowing up. Too many solid players on this team. If Moultrie and Sidney can continue to put up double digit points and grab 20 to 30 rebounds a night, this team is going to be tough to stop because our perimeter with Hood, Steele, and Bost is solid and provides great balance to them in the post.

it turned in to a dumpster fire but things are different this year. The RSS has grown up some I think and crazy *** Bost has another year of maturity and is really trying to make an impression for the NBA. Moultrie seems like he has his head on straight and may end up being the steadying influence this team needs to make a run. Hood and D. Smith have a ton of talent. Hell, Bryan Bryant and Steel aren't chopped liver either.

I think someone lit a fire under our *** in the second half, but the first half, they saw the paint way more than they should have. That, in turn, kept the game much closer than it needed to be. Cut the ball off at the point, we keep them out of the paint. Also, I was a little underwhelmed at our hustle in transition. Again, I think it will get better when we aren't playing a local high school team, but I hoped to see more hustle.

All 5 guys on the floor at any time (except Sidney about half the time) are going at 100%. Defense, hustling to rebounds or loose balls, working hard on both ends of a fast break.

Bost is confident as all hell, fun to watch.

Moultrie is hands down the 2nd best player on this team. He's about a half step slow to get up on for defending jump shots, but the rest of his game is awesome. Goes after rebounds on both sides of the floor, and has a great touch. I thought he was going to come in skinny, but he's really built.

Hood is sort of the Tyler Russell of the team. Has all the tools, but lacks confidence. Once he gets into the swing of a game, he's fantastic. Hell, with 3 minutes left in an exhibition game while up 30, he was diving on the floor for a loose ball.

We have not had a true power forward or small forward in years. We have both this year.

Bryant gets to the basket incredibly well for someone so small and slight.

Jalen Steele will be used against any team that gives us the perimeter. Has no problems letting loose.

Sidney actually had some good moves to the basket, and ran on a few fast breaks. He also played far less than half the game.

Lewis is in great shape this year. He still has trouble finishing from a standstill and can't hit a free throw, but he's and asset moving to the basket.

Deville Smith is apparently in the hospital after having progressive issues with dizzyness and memory problems... that doesn't sound good.
