Just curious that I haven't seen anything yet about Thomasville football. I know Thomasville travels to Albemarle for the first game and just wondered how many came out for the team and what the expectations were for this coming season. Albemarle has about 35 kids out with our third new head coach in the last 3 years. I think Thomasville also will be having their third different coach in the last 3 years so it could be an interesting game.

All I know is that they ended their series with MA and replaced them down the line with Starmount.
It'll be great to see the Red Dogs come to Albemarle in a couple of weeks. Both programs have come upon hard times recently so should be an even matchup. WE are trying to learn the "double wing" under our new coach. So the old power set 2 back offense is history. Think both teams will have to feel each other out to start the game and then who knows. Would love to meet up with ITJ and other Tville poster maybe before the game. I'm always on the 50 yd line right in front of the press box. So come on up and shake hands. Go Dogs. OOPS, I mean Blue Dogs!!!
I am looking forward to the trip to Albemarle. Don't know what to expect from the Red Dogs, however we return quite a few skill players from last season. Will know a lot more after the scrimmage on the 14th. Buddy I will be there in time to find you and visit.
Please keep the Brown family in your prayers. Allyson Brown, 14 year old daughter of Benji and granddaughter of Allen, died this morning when she collapsed while practicing cross country at Southern Guilford. If you know anything about the Browns, you know how closely knit the family is.

I am stunned! I have the upmost respect for both Benji and Allen. I was blessed to have competed against Benji back in the day in 2 sports. Allen was always teaching whether you were on his team or against. Benji also coached here at Davie. Prayers to the Brown family from Davie.
The Brown family has touched a lot of lives in a lot of places. Their contributions have been much more than football.
