Unworthy of anyone. You and the Andrei character should create a UK sports site where never an encouraging word would ever be spoken or keyed.

Not sure what you're talking about. I gave him praise while pointing out his deficiencies.

Or am I supposed to pretend our squad is full of infallible perfect players

Our depth issues were more about the lack of good sustained recruiting, solid coaching and development and facilities. That takes years to accomplish as we are currently witnessing with CMS and his staff.

Not sure why you think Tennessee will blow UK out. Hell, they could I guess, but they've been absolutely CRUSHED by the injury bug.

Certainly, UK will be a dog in that game. We'll see how the teams stack up injury wise. That one is still a few weeks out.

GBB!!!

Road game, against better players (still healthy enough to be significantly better) and I looked at the last two year's box scores for recent examples of what happens when Stoops goes against UT. That said, UT has played mostly close games this year. Let's put it this way, I have no faith we win the game, due to history and the fact it is UK vs. Ut in football. Perhaps it will be a closer loss, but I still view it as a loss.

I think I may have vomited after the fumble-touchdown. I knew, as most of you, that this was going to be another typical UK throw-away.
Not sure what I did after the FG, but I am still walking around the house wondering how all this came to pass.
One of the few pleasant post game days I've had in the last 4 or 5 years.
Dare we dream that better things are on the way?

big blue, was that called for? He is 4-1, which isn't bad. He had several passes dropped yesterday, which should have been caught. His very first pass to Johnson was dropped. The kid has a lot of heart, and plays hard.

OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!
Yup. Johnson didn't get much help especially in the first half. Other than the fumble, he had a great second half.

Miss St is having a down year, but yes it was a huge win for our Cats. A lot has changed for the better over this last month. If, and it's a big if we can win these next two games the Cat's could go into Knoxville possibly looking for a share of the SEC East title should Florida drop a game. Beating UT in Knoxville won't happen, but at least they'd have a chance. Hard to even imagine that given where we were after 2 games. I'd have to think the mood and tone of the locker room has improved greatly. These guys have something to work, practice, and play for. My CU fan buddies are giddy at getting bowl eligible for the first time in a decade, and having a shot at their division title. I'd like to be able to come back at them with the same thing here in a few weeks. We have back one of the most important things of all, hope!

Nope. Even if it were you two would either stop posting or find fault with the band or cheer leaders.

If all the team needed was an average passer why did Patrick Towles and young Mr Barker struggle so much with fairly the same crew???

Don't know what it is....maturity, drive, the rest of the team pulling around him.....but the offense has responded better to Johnson than any recent qb.

The game came down to a long field goal as time expired. It was a nail-biter and the final score made it look like two evenly matched mediocre teams who played it down to the wire. But in reality UK appeared, at least for most of the game, to be a significantly superior team. We had almost 200 yrds more offense than MsST. We had 26 first downs to 16. We had 6 minutes more possession time. State had considerably more penalty yards than we did.The only reasons this game was even close are:
1. We couldn't finish the first couple drives and had to settle for FGs.
2. Turnovers...the QB couldn't hold on to the ball.
3. A short missed FG

If we finish the first drive with a TD instead of FG, that gives us +4 more points. If we make the missed easy FG, that gives us +3 more points. If we score a TD instead of the fumble return, it gives MsSt -7 points and we get +7. That's 21 points we lost because of just a couple bad things. The score could have been more like 56 to 24 had we finished a drive and not fumbled going in for a score. I realize we DID make these mistakes, and several more, but UK was a much better overall team than State was last night. If we can clean up some of this bad stuff, we could actually become a decent competitive team.
