ESL by 4 TDs.

Glenbard East is a Great story and super happy for them - but the story ends next weekend.

GBE plays in a pretty weak conference (Conference is closed with 10 teams) and they were the only ones to advance to round 2 that actually played an opponent from a different conference (West Aurora also advanced, because they beat their in Conference rival South Elgin)

GBE has not seen top to bottom speed and power in the starting 11 that ESL will bring to the game. I hope GBE can at least make it competitive.

My thoughts are that I’ll be glad to see ESL extend its win total over MC against MC the following week in their front yard.

Will you be joining us? Gately Dogs are forever.
Travel the week before and after will make it tough and the kids coming the following Friday ... just won't have time to make it from Waukesha.

Some day!

You ever watch any Wi high school football? Waukesha West and Catholic Memorial are pretty good by Wisconsin standards which honestly isn’t saying much. Still something to do on a Friday night.

I know some guys who played at Catholic Memorial but I've not gone with them to games. I've been streaming two or three games via NFHS. I'm bored as hell up here ... awaiting recall to civilization.

you also shared similar thoughts last year. Not sure if the most devoted “Hype Men” can help ESL at the Colluseum on Cottage...

I'll flip it for you.

My thoughts are that I’ll be sad to see ESL lose ground in its win total over MC against MC the following week after such a long drive.

Ha! Good one... much better, I can live with that. Definitely the match up we all want to see.

I've moaned about the ESL secondary but will give the love as deserved.

Nice piece on 6-foot-3 185-pound junior safety, Antonio Johnson, who just got another DI offer, this one coming from Penn State.

Ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 4 ranked safety in Illinois by Rvials.com and the No. 3 ranked recruit in the state for the class of 2020 by 247 Sports, Johnson also has scholarship offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Missouri, Kentucky and Virgina Tech. (But not Illinois.)

Add Penn state, Virginia, Nebraska and Purdue...But no Illinois

Glenbard East is a great story: first playoff berth since 1999, first conference title since the mid-60s, first unbeaten regular season in history. The Rams will get a boost playing at home today. Will give ESL a good game for a while, but the Flyers gradually pull away for the win. Yet, a loss will not diminish the special season GE has had.
