Kid looks like he's turned a corner...he has the moves and speed just never the hands and decision making. Maybe he's ready to turn it around

I'll take Walker. Kid has good hands and is tough as nails. Reminds me of Wes Welker.

By all accounts from the coaches Timmons has really turned his game around, and I think his performance at the Spring game hinted at that. Had a good number of catches without a drop IIRC. Obviously he's going to have to continue this level of play into fall camp, but I liked what I saw from him yesterday.

Over the past few years the biggest knock on Timmons has been his hands. And you need the best hands on the team at PR. You also need a guy with ice water in his veins to make the "hard" catch rather than let it roll 15 yards. Everybody talks about the long return but, far and away, the most important part of the job is to catch the ball.

IMO, it is one of the most "pressure filled" jobs on a football team. A muffed catch on a punt is probably as big a turnover mistake as you can make in the normal course of the game. Always flips the field and often puts the kicking teams offense back in scoring position.

Peace

Timmons has had moments of brilliance abs some games that have made it seem as though he's turned the corner, but the next game he disappears again. His role in this offense will be weird. He has a chance to make it but Johnson was outstanding last year over the middle. It will be hard to unseat him as a slot guy. Badet looked to have a solid burst yesterday and could be one of the outside receivers along with Baker. So, Timmons will have to fight to be in the rotation.

What I don't like about him being punt returner is that in years past we've had one of the worst punt return averages in the SEC. With a struggling offense we have to have something from special teams.

When asked about his receivers after the B-W game, the first name out of Barker's mouth was Timmons. Conrad was the other one he mentioned. We need 4 wide outs and 2 slots and I think we have that covered this year. We have 4 outstanding running backs. Barker is looking much better than any QB last year. If the O-line can play just respectful we should put some points on the board this year.

He has had every chance back there and done nothing...move on

He had some physical problems and a loss of confidence too but he looks like he has overcome both. Can't knock the guy until he shows that he doesn't deserve to be there.

Timmons was horrible returning punts. Do not want him at all even looking at ball being kicked to him.
I was really questioning the judgment of the coaches who continually put him back their trying to look enept.

Let's wait and see how little he gets.

He didnt get many last year. This year, hes improved. But the WR talent level around him has improved even more.

Id like to see him succeed. Hes a KY kid who had a good offer sheet. He needs to be a success story for us. But I just dont see it.

Pretty sure that's what he showed all last year.

I hope he's improved and gets further chances at receiver but he's had more than enough opportunities returning punts and has shown to be a liability there.

Look he was terrible and lost his confidence but when you hear him talk about playing hurt, he should have sat instead of worrying how the next hit would affect him. I'm hoping a healthy Timmons is a much better Timmons.

You do know Timmons is a starter? Juice moved outside and Timmons is the starring slot.

He was for the spring game. But I don't know if he will be during the season. Juice moved outside with Bone and Baker out. I'm sure Juice will play outside some too. But he will be our starting slot. Now if we are in doubles, both Juice and Timmons will be in the slot. We're gonna move everyone around to try to get as many mismatches as possible.

Personally, I'd like to see Badet in the slot some to get him matched up with a LB or safety.

He has moved outside for good he will probably play both but he moved before Baker and bone got dinged up. Plus this offense has 2 slot wr positions. Timmons will catch over 50 balls this year as long as he is healthy.

I'll be honest, I'm still a little mad at Timmons for dropping that bomb from Patty Ice at Florida that hit him in the numbers down the seam.
