Not good when media starts to influence transfers. The media is all these kids listen to. How well did Robby Ashford do this year?
Does anyone remember a solidly entrenched starter at an SEC school transferring?

I don’t recall specific predictions that he would transfer last year. Of course, with any high caliber player at a school of our stature, there will always be rumors from the national media. Even so, nobody has predicted that it’s going to transfer this off-season either. However, McShay said is really no different from many on this own forum who have said in a variety of posts in numerous threads that they would not be surprised if he transferred. McShay just listed a possible landing spot.

. He was the entrenched starter for 2 years, and yes did sit out the playoff games, but was projected starter for the upcoming season.
I all fairness to LaNorris, He could put up Gawdy numbers in the A-She-She, Playing Duke, Cuse, WF, BC, stanford, etc etc
Sellers was a train wreck in the Ole Miss game, but I'm inclined to attribute that to the wheels finally coming off after having been overcoached by Shula. I could be wrong, but I think they best thing they can do for Sellers and the team in our last 3 games is get out of Sellers' head. If he's at his best when improvising, then let him improvise. The results can't be any worse than we saw in Games 1-9. A resurgence in the final 3 games, post-Shula, would probably boost his draft stack back up as scouts would likely be willing to attribute his dropoff to coaching.

There's been a bunch of non-QB starters to transfer from P4 to P4.
I was thinking mostly of the SEC and a starting Qb transferring.Also mostly thinking of a Qb that hadn’t wore out his welcome moving.

Mendoza and Mateer,Diego and Pribula were improving their situation.
A Sellers move would a starting SEC qb in good standing looking to leave for what would be considered a move up.That doesn’t happen very often if ever.

Its arguable if he is in " good standing". He has regressed this year a lot.
It could be the OL and the OC. If that is the case though, one has to wonder if a move to a team with an OL and with a coherent offensive scheme wouldnt help him tremendously.
That's only considering his draft status if he comes back. Obviously there's the loyalty angle, etc.
