Thanks! Definitely not concerned about gas mileage! :) It definitely isn't better than the chevy suburban that I'm driving now! :)

I am on my 2nd Tundra and love it. My current model is a 2012 Crewmax. The main reasons I chose it over the other manufacturers were:

1. Toyota reliability
2. Engine power
3. Manuverability

Things I don't like:

1. Worst gas mileage of the major truck makers
2. Interior is a notch below the others (this has since been upgraded so may not be an issue on new models)

I previously owned Chevys and GMCs and they served me well just got tired of the huge turning radius and wanted to try something different. Frankly I think the differences between Ford, Chevy, and Toyota are negligible. I think it just boils down to what you like. Personally I think Dodge is a notch below and Nissan is way below. If you like what you seen in a Tundra I don't think you'll be disappointed in the ownership experience.

Totally agree. Keep it American. I'm about to buy a Ford F-150 in about a month. I'll give your brother a call and see what he can do. I have a 2006 F-150, and it's been a great truck. I test drove the 2015 about a month ago and was really impressed.

Just an FYI...

"The Texas-built Toyota Tundra was ranked more American than both the Chevy Silverado and Dodge Ram in a recent update to the Kogod Made In America Auto Index. The index is the work of the Kogod School of Business at American University in Washington D.C." Apr 11, 2014

So i will keep an American built truck. ;)

The Tundra ties the F150 in 2015 at 70% American. Up until this year the F150 was #1 amongst all vehicles at 87% but with the redesign they outsourced a bunch of stuff. #1 is now the Toyota Camry.

Yes, let's not focus upon the fact of whether or not we buy from an American company but rather let's revel in the fact that the American company which didn't take bailout money outsources some of their parts which now makes it okay to buy some foreign made POS. Geeze...

You kind of contradicted yourself there.

How? Ford or Toyota..Easy choice. When melted down in an even situation, which this is not, I will always defer to the American company and buy those goods.
