Looks like they are picking up another has been. They took a cast off from TX AM. Don't know why he was sent away from AM but he found his home.

This one might be alright. If he's leaving T&AM because of playing time or style of play that's one thing. At least this one wasn't kicked off beating his girl friend or sexual assault or something like that.
Maybe we just need to dig deeper. There has to be something.....[winking]

U of L did very well on the NCAA just-released APR numbers ..... would've been #2 in the SEC.

Yeah, North Carolina has done very well scholastically for a long time also. I think UL was advertising a PERFECT APR for a while there, answer me this, how do you take all these players kicked out of other schools with all kinds of problems, including criminal, and turn them ALL into Rhodes Scholars? What a joke, but they seem to get away with it.

Just the fact that he chose UL should raise some flags IMO. Minardi Hall might be a recruiting plus at this time, UL threw this years team under the bus hoping it would make recruits think the consequences are all over.

Louisville has guys on their staff that are paid to stay up at night and find guys that have been kicked off other teams in hopes that they can maintain their status as transfer u. They have at least 4starters on defense that come from somewhere else, what they tell them to get them there is, you can't mess up here and there are extra benefits. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

You do UK has been taking a bunch of transfers as well? UL only has about 6 4 year transfers on the roster and Uk probably has 3-4. The only difference is ours usually come from SEC schools and yours come from B-10 schools.

As for the APR it is all dedicated by the NCAA so it is all above board. You guys don't like Jurich but he puts a lot of weight on player academics in all sports. The new athletic academic study center will be complete in July

While it may be UK has taken a few transfers, name ONE of them that was dismissed from another program due to allegations of criminal charges?

A former rivals 250 kid with scholarships to virtually all of the blue bloods as a senior. Had a legit offer from Oregon as a transfer but just chose UL instead.

I think someone should investigate them on academics. Dyer flunks out and they get a good APR? Did Ark St take the hit for that?

I never said UK had any that had been dismissed from another program. UL has 2 in that category. Both guys were given a second chance at UL have had no issues at UL. The most recent TE just left A&M for on the field reasons similar to the UK guys.

I know someone who used to take on line tests for the football players at UL. Don't get all puffy.

I know you didn't, but UL has had a run of "problem" transfers, and some of those were on more than the second (or even third chance). That in itself is why UL has gained the reputation of taking everyone else's trash.

UL had more than 2. Fields for smacking a girl, the RB from Auburn for being kicked out of 3 schools, and Harvey-Clemons for multiple failed drug tests. That was three in Petrino's first two seasons and 3 of the best players he's had since he's been there so I'm expecting more very soon

Dyer was only dismissed from one school, Arkansas State, and came to Louisville in 2013 under Charlie Strong. I have not seen anything negative about this new transfer, other than the baseless insinuations found here...

Don't worry little bro fans. Soon we will be back on top. We have been destroying you on the recruiting front and have had higher rates players every year. We may have lost a couple recently but that is about to end.

We have been building lasting success under Stoops. Now the pieces are in place. We will prove it on the field.

I know someone who says he went to parties with UK players when he was enrolled there and saw money change hands. I believe him about as much as I believe other internet claims of someone knowing someone who knows something. Claims mean nothing without proof.

That makes zero sense. Money changed hands at college parties? So our coaches paid for players at campus parties? Even if we were paying for players our coaches sure as hell aren't stupid enough to do that. I hear your coaches make it rain and only invite girls that can squirt the ceiling

Clearly you did not read the part about me saying I did not believe it either. I was merely suggesting that the 'I know someone who says...' is not a reliable source to use in discussions. I happen to support both teams, sorry you can only deal in discussions that are one sided.

No I was only pointing out that what your friend said is completely ridiculous and no reasonable person would ever believe that. What caveman posted actually happens and schools/student athletes are caught doing that quite often. Using your example to prove what caveman posted had zero merit doesn't work because at least what he posted wasn't something beyond reason. That doesn't mean that it's certainly happening at UL his friend could be lying too but it's worth posting as a rumor unlike your friend's story that wouldn't even qualify as farfetched

This probably isn't a road any school would want to go down. I knew someone who did the same thing in 2010 for your basketball team. Having someone else take online and take-home tests is a pretty common occurrence, both for athletes and regular students. Just saying.

He may have only been dismissed from one school, but he left Auburn under a cloud of controversy and negativity and disciplinary issues.

The fact is, we now have better talent at nearly every position that lil bro. Our classes have been ranked 20+ spots better than theirs some years and rankings don't lie. With the talent we have we will beat lil bro from here on out. We should have won last year but a bad break and a QB change screwed us.

We have more talent than them so they have drug users and people who assault women. Those are not the type of players we have ever had nor will we have. We are building things in the right way. Recruiting talent and developing that talent. We will pound them!!!!!!

Any TE who plays as a frosh is probably pretty good. Petrino uses TEs well. The kid will probably do well.

Transfers don't bother me as long as they weren't dismissed for bad reasons. We have a few transfers and I'm hoping we get one soon from a DT from Nebraska. UofL football has a solid and legit APR. UKs APR will continue to improve. It's took a hit after all of the transfers after Joker was fired. Basketball is a different story. Bad stuff happened in Minardi Hall.

Actually, Dork rankings do lie. There are numerous 4 and 5 stars that don't live up to the hype in college in all programs and numerous 2 and 3 stars that went on to have successful careers in the NFL. It takes good coaching to determine if the stars are warranted, over hyped or under hyped. Petrino has a history of "having a good eye" for talent. In the few short years of Stoops career as a HC, he so far hasn't had the success many thought would develop simply looking at star ratings.

I will agree. It takes a good eye to locate talent other programs shun. It's called slumming.

I'm still laughing at the Tard that said Louisville is strict on their "student" athletes academics, but I will tell you this, if you think any studying will go down at your new athletic academic study center, I would like to show you a few nice things I have for sale..
