how bad did his departure hurt you guys...?<div>
</div><div>guy has a pretty good pedigree, seems to be a good recruiter, and has a top 15 defense in an "offensive" conference...</div><div>
</div><div>I only ask, bc I'm watchin' TX v CAL and they mentioned him at the half...</div>

Chris Wilson has proven to be an outstanding DC and recruiter since his promotion...<div>
</div><div>Manny is a very good coach- but had somebody waiting in the wings that was ready to step up</div>

But we didn't lose much defensively on the field and his replacement has done quite well coaching wise. Don't see us missing him much.

I think he's very good, but Wilson has been about as good as well. And I think Wilson is a better recruiter.

CJ was not recruited by Manny, not even after he got here. Diaz's leaving was just a convenient excuse for Johnson to get the cash during the dead period. Nick B was never a real commitment because he committed, de-committed, re-committed, etc. Singleton dropped us, supposedly, when Hud left. Which other big time recruits did we lose due to Diaz leaving? Whitehead?

If he would have stayed, they switcheroos would haveused another excuse like "we fell in love with the indoor practice facility in Oxford". C.J. committed to State when Diaz was in Murfreesboro. It was the best excuse the bears could use to describe an inexplicable event. "The money was too much" does not play well. Ask Cam. The Diaz excuse was a facade.

And I don't believe I was the only one saying that Wilson needed to improve after the Auburn game.

To his credit- he has.

I'm not going to call for someone's head if they improve and do well.
