While attending the game I was a little frustrated at times. Our offense seemed to sputter except for a handful of big plays. (Thank you Vic!)...we allowed like a million pass completions over the middle. At the end of the 3rd Wake seemed to have momentum. After reflecting on this and watching the DVR I feel better. We have many reverse games like this in our past, where we played great up and down the field but did not execute, convert key plays and subsequently LOST the game. In this game we DID EXECUTE and make the key plays needed to win. We got our 5th bowl victory in a row, 2 in the past two years...A bowl victory is not easy, most all the teams in postseason are capable:
- Ask GA Tech. They have no lost 7 bowl games in a row
- Ask TN and KY...They both failed to win the MCB in the previous 2 years
- Ask Northwestern, they have not won a bowl game since 1948
