Article from Football Insiders (per KSR) outlining how well our offensive line is stacking up against the best in the country. A couple notes from the article I liked:

UK’s OL ranks as the 5th best in the country in adjusted line yards, 3rd in power success rate (“percentage of runs on third or fourth down, two yards or less to go, that achieved a first down or touchdown”), 9th in standard down line yards (“raw, unadjusted per-carry line yardage for a team on standard downs (first down, second-and-7 or fewer, third-and-4 or fewer, fourth-and-4 or fewer”)), and 18th in opportunity rate (“percentage of carries (when five yards are available) that gain at least five yards, i.e. the percentage of carries in which the line does its job, so to speak”). Not too shabby for a unit with just one senior on the two-deep depth chart.

Kentucky will be returning nine of ten offensive linemen on the two-deep of the depth chart next season

Good stuff. The big sexies have been straight up nasty and will again be one of the top OL's in the country in 2017.

You seeing this, Jedrick Wills? Why not...

If you're an offensive line recruit and you see Kentucky lineup 50 some odd times and run it down the throats of opposing SEC defenses then you should be extremely excited to go play for that team. Offensive linemen like nothing more than lining up, exploding off the ball, and playing smash-mouth football. Hopefully some big time recruits will take notice of how this football team is playing and will want to be apart.

According to the Georgia Depth Chart we returning 39 players of the two deep in 2017 ( out of a max of 44)

or

10 starters on offense and 9 starters on defense

:flushed:
This is an awesome thing for UK Football! Depth has always been a problem for our OL and DL. Stoops and coaches are building a solid football team. Go Cats!!

Not to mention some of the college backs Gran coached that went on to successful NFL careers.

The mere thought of it now gives me chills.

Music to my ears.

I've been hoping like crazy that the team that started fast the previous two years was the team we would have when we built depth and had Stoops' recruited upperclassmen. They were disciplined and played with swag, but simply fell apart when the need for depth arose.

Let's hope this keeps building to the point that when we do start losing a big senior class that we've built the depth that it is just a plug and play situation. The OL looks to already be in that position.
