deserve a lot of credit for their off season work with this team. The coach we got from Indiana and the head strength man are actually co-coaches, who have just turned us into a SEC quality looking team.
I know we had the high performance guy who had a scientific strength and conditioning program, but it didn't translate into the success we are having with the new approach....... Thoughts !

Not to denigrate the present coaches but they have an advantage their predecessors did not have. All the players are one year older.

I'm not sure why there is so much confusion over the HP program. The HP Program is separate and apart from the S&C Program which we have always had. The HP Program was not designed to build muscle mass, it was designed to monitor diet, stress level, and other physical attributes and modify as appropriate to optimize the the athlete's ability to perform. It's primary benefit is preventing soft tissue injury. We still have an HP Program it's just more watered down then the program Korem ran which many thought was overkill.

One other thing to consider about Korem was in the first couple years, the schools couldn't feed the athletes as much as they seen fit. That is something that is new. So you are depending on kids to eat everything (have to buy it or eat it at school cafeteria) that coaches ask them to.

Last year we were a bunch of juco and young underclassmen. The "man strength" comes alittle later in life, and maybe that also is factoring in. But no matter the reason we are looking and acting like an sec football team and that is new around here.

So good job players, coaches, and training staff putting their bodies in place to succeed.
