Anyone have any idea what this means? Someone on reddit mentioned 271 items labeled "Lamar Jackson signed" appeared on Ebay

Well, we know Teddy Bridgewater was getting paid for that kind of stuff.

UofL rarely has star athletes that anyone cares about outside of the city of Louisville. We get multiple in basketball every single year. Gotta be careful with players of this status. Lamar Jackson is entering that superstar status nationally. It will be interesting to see how UofL handles it. They aren't used to it. Seeing as how they just got busted for hookers, maybe they'll actually adhere to the rules.

I don't really care that Bridgewater was able to profit off his brand at uofl,
I think he and other players should be able to. That said, it's against the rules and they were lucky he and UofL wasn't punished, but the dealer would have had to talk and he didn't. Just like the NCAA brushed off Kevin Ware's booster issues and Behanan selling stuff for profit on eBay, they were fortunate.

UL is enjoying some success, make no mistake about that, they are pretty good. They also have a limited understanding of how to handle the attention they are getting.

Limited understanding of the attention ? I think you are forgetting UofL has a very successful basketball program that gets attention, yes over the last year it has been the wrong kind of attention but Tom Jurich is a master at handling the media. The subject has been brought up on a couple of shows on SiriusXM today and most of the host think UofL is making the right call on this. A couple think it is more about trying to keep Lamar focused on the games instead of all the hype and media.

No we don't. I remember when those allegations dropped. The university did a full on investigation and determined there was no wrong doing. Your statement is false.

The university did a full on investigation.......................AND determined no wrong doing..............well that settles that, and a fine investigation i'm sure.Seriously where do you guys come up with this stuff.[poop]

Many will disagree but once again the writing is on the wall. Thery are making money at a crazy clip and will realize the untapped market they are sitting on (they already are realizing it). Just like the playoffs were forced upon many so will the compensation of the student athlete. The NCAA is overrun with so many petty investigations over these issues that lead to nothing and when they do lead to something it always seems so unfair to the many like cases before that led to no punishment. Eventually they will cut the crap and remove the possibility of further tainting their product. Id say within a decade were going to see a very different NCAA than were familiar with. The money at stake is too large and they will adapt to remain viable.

What a shocker, the second most crooked university behind Carolina found no wrong doing in a case involving their own star qb. Nothing fishy about that..

It's Lamar. And there were an increasing amount of autograph seeking individuals hanging out at the gates to the practice fields and it was becoming a problem so UofL had to shut it down. It's sad that grown people have shut down the excitement of young children getting autographs for their own financial gain. I remember being mesmerized as a child when I could get an autograph from a favorite sports figure. Sad.

Cutting off horse heads and leaving them in the beds of thode you are trying to influence does not make one a master at handling the media. It makes them Mafia.

That is wrong but funny nonetheless. Lamar seems like a smart kid though when it comes to football and reading defenses...now public speaking...not his thang.
