Except that Sidney is one of the biggest 17ups I've ever seen. A very talented 17up, but still a 17up. And Moultrie has proved he can be a decent center in a **** league for 2 years. Hopefully,Sidney's got his head on halfway straight this year and Moultrie has really improved as much as that website thinks he has (if he has, that shoots ahuge gapinghole in the "Stansbury can't develop talent" argument). As for Hood, I'm cautiously optimistic.</p>

besides you are interrupting our attempts to place unrealistically high expectations on this team that we know The Recruiter will not live up to.

2009-2010 Kentucky for example- started 4 true freshmen and ranked in the preseason very highly

with Bost and Fatboy being drafted in 2012....We were ranked in the preseason with Augustus, Rayvern, Bost, Whitey, and Swat in 2009...I would think all these future draft picks would get some love too

and all this supposed talent we have. Let's review what we have in the 4 players getting all the hype.

1 - A very good SEC point guard, who can also play the 2. Not an All-American type player but very solid.

2 - A very talented player who so far has been more of a liability than an asset because of all the off-court drama he brings to the team. Not to mention he can't play more than 3 minutes without being totally gassed and is a complete liability on the defensive end even at his best. We literally would have been better off without him last year. If he gets his **** together, then yeah, he'll be a great player. But that's a huge, huge if. I'd put the odds at no better than 50% and that's being pretty optimistic.

3 - A player who was mediocre at a mediocre school in a **** conference. Why he's projected to be drafted is a mystery to me, unless Stans is some kind of miracle worker at developing players.

4 - A 4-star recruit (good but a far cry from the 4 that Cal brought into Kentucky).

To me that translates into a team that could potentially be pretty good, but not one to rank in the preseason.</p>

After signing day about how Arkansas and LSU would be better than us this year based on them out recruiting us? What happened to that? Isit Stan's fault too that they didn't get ranked?

because we didn't make the tournament last year. In the last twenty years how many teams have been preseason ranked after failing to make the tournament the previous season? I'd bet it's less than 5 teams.

Try Baylor, Bama, and Cal... That's 3 teams not in the tourney last year that are ranked this year....

Maybe you should stay out of basketball posts......

"So I basically dont think we will be much better next season, if at all- even with Bost and Sidney improving. Plus, we have the same coach.

Upig has alot of their top players returning from an 18 win team. They only lose 2 of their top 8- we lost 3 of our top 5. Their freshman- rated higher as a class than ours, will help improve their talent level, and supplement what they already have. Their guys will have some growth issues just like ours will. Here's the key- what they are bringing in is better than what they lost in 2011. I dont think thats the case with us."

So let me get this straight, you said you didn't think we would be better, but you did think Arkansas, who finished ahead of us, would be better, yet that is not saying that Arkansas would be better than us?

that's 4 teams. My bet is about to fail. Whose got two more? I claim a win if it's 5. In hindsight I believe a set the amount too low but I made ya think:)

Ranked last pre-season after not making the NCAA tourney the year before...
UNC, Illinois, Memphis, and Virginia Tech...
That's 7 teams in the last 2 years....

Seriously, don't post in basketball threads anymore...

and stop trying to make up ****-<div>
</div><div>I said that UPig would challenge us for 2nd in the West- I said that plain as day- in black and white. And that post was also made before Rotnei Clark announced he was transferring</div><div>
</div><div>We have no West- but I definitely think Bama is the top team from this side- with us and UPig being the next 2...I cant be any more clearer than that</div>

I have lost my bet. You sir are the better man than me on looking up how many teams have made it to the coveted preseason ranking when they failed to make the tournament the year before. I am in awe of your basketball IQ.

and others on this board swear that The Recruiter would get us in a Sweet 16 when he got some draftable talent. And teams with multiple players of draftable talent are usually ranked.

Bost is one of the top G's in the SEC
Never said he's not.

Sidney went for 16 and 7 last season out of shape
And how much did he give up on defense? How much did he cost us by destroying any hope at team unity and chemistry?
And Moultrie and Hood are being projected as possible lottery picks in 2013
That site is projecting Moultrie to be a possible lottery pick as a 5th year senior. I'm calling ********. How many 5th year seniors are lottery picks? If he was that good, he'd be in the NBA now (well, if there was an NBA right now). For Hood, who the 17 knows at this point? In any case, even they're not projecting him anywhere near as high (and one year later) than all of the 4 Kentucky players you're comparing him to were.
