those teams, Illinois was 21-15 the prior year, UNC was 20-17 the prior year, Memphis was 24-10 the prior year, and Va Tech was 25-9. We were 17-14 last year. Not to mention those are all basketball powerhouses. I don't think it's really the same for someone to compare our situation to theirs.
I was just showing Dawg61 that there are several teams every year that are ranked that did not make the NCAA tourney the year before...He said that he bet there were 5 teams in the last 20 years and there are 7 teams in just the last 2 years.KurtRambis4 said:

he was just suggesting that it wasn't abnormal for a lesser known team to not be ranked when they had a bad year the prior season. Then these teams were thrown out their to disprove him. However it is a little misleading in that these teams didn't really have a terrible year like us and also they are major programs with lots of media attention. He may be surprised that there were a few instances each season, but I wasn't. Back to the point that some think it's a travesty we aren't ranked, I just think that's a joke and some people trying to start ****...which it is.

I mean this is about money right? Does anyone have more wins than Boise in the last 10-15 years? Their is such a thing as a "neutral site" for games so nobody would have to suffer through the pitfalls of the smurf turf. Hell Boise would probably play all road games just at the shot to prove they are worthy of their perennial ranking. Didnt the Big East just offer Boise? As far as your "Bullies" comment I also stand by that. We've been called that in the past and currently again by ESPN so I do think it's a great way to separate us from Ole Miss in the national eye AND get rid of that 17ing hideous MState logo plastered everywhere.
