South Carolina wins an ugly shooting exhibition over South Dakota State 62-44. The Gamecocks shot 9-16 (56.3%) for the final period, but only after shooting 15-54 (27.8%) for the first 3 periods. The Jackrabbits were held to 15-55 (27.3%) shooting for the entire game, so it was a regular Freemasons convention.
Zia Cooke led the Gamecocks with 18 pts on 7-18 shooting, and Aliyah Boston had 12 pts on 5-10 shooting, with 9 rebounds and 2 blocks. I personally feel the Player of the game for South Carolina was Brea Beal, who scored 9 pts on 4-8 shooting, with 6 rebounds, 6 steals, 5 blocks, and 3 assists for the game. The steals and blocks led the team, and the assists tied Kierra Fletcher and Laeticia Amihere for the team lead.
The Jackrabbits were led by Myah Selland with 12 pts on 5-14 shooting, with 6 rebounds, and 10 pts by Brooklyn Meyer on 4-9 shooting.
The Gamecocks as a team had 13 steals and 14 blocks on the night.....

I’m not a huge WBB fan but I do pay attention because I’m a Carolina fan. What couple of minutes I watched last night was terrible basketball. Stevie Wonder could shoot better than both teams combined.

A point to be made is that EVERY team we have played has shot like Helen Keller. We only have to shoot like Peter Falk(one eye) to win
Defense wins games if you have even an average offense!
I agree and defense doesn't go on slumps like the offense can.
