Welp, gotta give it to Stoops, beating Vandy looks more impressive now. Can't take nothing away from Vandy today, they just beat 'em straight up. UK's win last week looks better today.

That's just college football. So much of it is mental and confidence. Don't forget too that UGA had a short turnaround having played last Sunday.

BWHAHAHAHA. Good job Dawgs. This is what you wanted. Ran off Mark Richt so you could hire the guy coasting on Nick Sabans coattails. You had a coach that won 49 games in five years, and you thought you were too good for that. This is how good you are. You've found your level. Enjoy it.

The Vandy win by UK was a quality win. It just makes you sick about that loss to Southern Miss. UK would be sitting in a very good position right now in the middle of the season.

Well, we are just 1/2 game out of the lead in the SEC East right now.

I'm not saying that beating Vandy and SC makes us all that great... but we at least have a chance to do something in the remaining games.

With losses to Florida and Alabama. I think everybody would absolutely be accepting of that.
If UK can beat Mississippi State, Mizzou, and Georgia, and if Florida loses against Mizzou today (would be a huge surprise), then the SEC East title could come down to the Tennessee and Kentucky game.

Just that being possible is crazy after the start of the season.

If it came down to that it would piss off some people on here.

Florida also has games at LSU and at Arkansas. Their path to the SEC East title is not a given.

Exactly, and they already lost to Tennessee. If they drop 2 between Mizzou, LSU, and Arkansas, then Kentucky would be in 2nd in this whole scenario.
It's entirely plausible.

Georgia sleepwalking. Vandy returned the opening KO to the UGA 3 where Webb scored 2 plays later. UGA's first 2 plays to start the game were penalities, have 2 dropped passes and nothing in their running game. Vandy up 7-0 midway in 1st Q.
Georgia fans are commiting suicide Kirby Smart the wrong guy yadda yadda our win over Vandy looking better

seems crazy at this point, but with winnable games left and our current standing we are still in the hunt for the east.

Georgia might be a winnable game for us. It's at home too.
7 games might be manageable. I have us winning Miss St, AP and Missouri. Might add Georgia.
those are the 4 games we CAN win. To actually win them all, we'd need (obviously) to run the table. Unlikely (for most teams and maybe especially this one - when's the last time we went 4 for 4 on winnable games?)....

yep. always liked Richt. there is a contingent here that never liked him for what seems like a silly reason - too much Bible......

Vandy is a very tough out. Ask UF and UGA. That was a do or die situation for UK and Vandy, and UK emerged. Underappreciated win for Stoops.
Agree 100%.....For UK to get the win in that situation says alot about growth and culture.

In today's society being a Christian is not very "cool". Just ask Tim Tebow. Mark Richt and Mrs. Richt are very moral people and of deep faith. This is not something most Americans can identify with, especially at a liberal university like UGA or UK for that matter. You can probably include any state university.

Doesn't matter. (Recruiting). If that were the case teams like Southern Miss would never have a prayer against a team like KY (b/c we have our recruited them for years as well).

I also tend to think UGA made a mistake by basically running Richt out of town.
I tweeted last night that UGA fans will appreciate their next 10 win season a lot more than they appreciated their last 10 win season. I don't think Kirby is a very good coach.

No, Georgia fans don't want Mark Richt back. He had grown too comfortable over the 15 years, turned over all his coaching duties. It was a time for a change for both parties. Now I don't know if Kirby was the right hire or not, right now it doesn't look like it. I was excited about our OC when he was announced, lets say I am alot less excited about him now. He is so predictable with his personnel, when one WR is in, we run, everytime, we have a starting WR who hasn't been thrown to in 7 games, not one time, zero. McKenzie lines up in wide slot, he is running a reverse, everytime, I can call it as soon as huddle breaks. Defensively we are playing pretty good, special teams are a disaster and we have a special teams coordinator. We are trying to out physical people with an OL that has 2 starters under 285, a failed DL and a grad transfer from an FCS school, but insist on trying to drive them off the ball, when we have issue holding the point of attack, backs are getting hit 2 yards deep, and no playmakers at WR. I watched 6-7 games yesterday where a WR went up and made a play on a ball for a big completion, our guys don't do that, its hold your breath on catching it if they are wide open and it hits them in the numbers. We have 5-6 drops every game.

I knew we wouldn't be very good this year, but I don't think I was expecting this bad, I thought 8-4, but don't think we get that this year, 6 might be our ceiling. But even with that, I am glad for us, and Mark Richt, that a change was made. Now I would like to have a Mark Richt type as OC, which basically what he is doing at Miami now, but he didn't want to do that with us any longer.

What the Vandy win over Georgia proves two things. One, UK can beat Georgia, and two, their are some one here that doesn't know **** about football. Those saying now that the Vandy win was a quality win simply because they beat Georgia is beyond belief. The SEC teams are all quality no matter what their record.

Kirby has had some very off end of game decision making (i.e. throwing from endzone vs UT that led to fumble TD). But on last play of Vandy game when you needed 1 yard...you line up Chubb at FB and then run McZenzie from the slot to motion him to RB and then run a sweep with him with Chubb as lead blocker....Chubb totally whiffs on block (hard to blame as he's probably never done that in his life) and McKenzie can't run thru enough tackles.

I don't know if Kirby is the answer at UGA...but year 1 is going to be a dud for sure.

to say that one has gotten some grief is an understatement. Maybe all he will ever be is a good DC, but our OC has really made some questionable play calls. Bottom line special teams put 10 points on the board for Vandy yesterday. A sr. catches the kickoff and steps out of bounds at the 2, and the return to open the game. Kirby is catching more heat than he expected, our offense isn't a whole lot worse than I expected it to be considering our OL, QB and WR situation, but it is worse, red zone is terrible, but at least we are getting there more often and its better than last years.
