Sooner!
Thanks KSB, Jr. While many other fans would not admit it, the Big XII needs OU to be a flagship type of program for the conference.
Sorry to hear about your injuries!

There is no question. OU being top ten is more important than TCU or Baylor, but I want as many as we can get. Texas needs to get back to top ten...heck even 20.

The XII will do just fine with UTexas ranked 110th. I'm for their winning two of three out of the conference, but prefer 0-9 in.

As has been said so many times by the Sooner faithful, my two favorite teams are OU and whoever's playing Texas! Ha Ha!

I have said that many times. But now, my favorite team is OU, whoever is playing against the SEC, and THEN whoever is playing Texas.

I even pulled for Texas against ND. Well for a quarter, anyway.

I was in the same boat, Plaino. I wanted both teams to lose but had decided I would go for the conference and actually root for the Horns. Pretty quickly I realized that was a bummer.
We need Texas to beat Cal for the conference's sake, but it is so hard to say "Go Horns!"
Uggh! That tasted awful!!!!!

You just have to learn to do it quietly.

It is good in one way, though. If UT loses, it is UT. If they win, it's good for the conference.

It's great when Texas loses, but I'm of the different train of thought that OU beating a strong Texas team does in fact help the Sooners at the end of the year. Now did it work out that way every season? Of course not. But think back to OU getting into the 2003 and 2004 national title games, and be honest with yourself in asking the question if OU beating a strong Texas team on the schedule was a factor in tipping the balance between getting into the title game....or not..
