It is easy to see why it is so hard to compete with the elite in this league. I pray we can find a QB who can make some plays but I am wondering will we let them make plays. Wake should have been blown out and I realize we had 4 turnovers but we better make sure we hold on to Wilson. He saved our butts again.

90% of the fanbase is so far up Mullen's assthey have lost all capacityforrational thought. The remaining 10% consist of SPS.Signature wins are againstUM, Big UM and LaTech whichandall ended up 8-4. When said wins alsomakes up 75% of wins against teams with winning records and you still are worshiped like he is, it's smoke and mirrors.

Things will turn to **** and when they do, the 90% are going to be in shock wondering how it all happened.

we have won a bowl game in 9 out of 110 or so seasons. The year was a tad bit disappointing but damn - enjoy it for what it is - a winning season with a bowl win which happens less than 10% of the time.

Yes, I think we could have done some things different tonight and this year, but damn, look at what we DID accomplish.

But it is hard to watch stupidity when we are clearly the better team. I just hope we can come up with a qb next year because sure were inept except for an occasional run. Relf did what he can do, I guess I can't blame him but it sure seemed at times we didn't give the offense a chance. Thank God for Ballard, he will go down as one of the best backs we have ever had and for only 2 years, he made every bit of it count.

Who has an O Line that outweighs the D Line damn near 100 lbs a man and still feels the need to have a running QB throw the ball 20 @*%*!!$ times. And WF never stacked the box forcing the pass, he called that many pass plays unprovoked.

The only non running plays that should have been called were punts and FG's. Do that and you have a 3 TD victory.

Dubmass or arrogant, not sure of which.

but I am fairly certain it is below average on the QB spectrum.

Our offense goes as our QB goes- just like pretty much any other offense in football.

That said, I think we got the very best we could possibly ever hope to get out of him.

I can't wait to see what Dan can do with Tyler and Dak. I think with them, and a better o-line our offense could really take off next year.

I thought Relf played a pretty good game tonight - 12/19, 1 TD, 2 INT (only one was actually his fault).

The only TO directly attributable to Relf was the INT right before the half - and quite frankly we should have kicked a damn field goal there anyway.

The other INT was our WRs trying to make a play and keeping the ball live long enough for it to be grabbed -- that wasn't Relf's fault at all.

<blockquote style="MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px" dir="ltr">

You don't stop running the ball because of a few fumbles if you have the size advantage that MSU did. They occured before the expected run game dominance was confirmed.

Should have kicked the FG instead of throwing the pick though.

He overthrew Arceto causing him to tip it. He throws that ball accurately, and it's a first down because Arceto was open. Maybe even a TD if Aceto can get by a couple of defenders.

I do think that Relf played pretty well- but let's be honest here- his passing leaves a lot to be desired. He completed a lot of passes because our coaches know what he can and can't do and they rarely ask him to do something that he can't. I am thankful for that.

That said, I'm pretty sure that Relf doesn't read defenses very well and we've had to run only a small part of our passing game because he simply can not handle it. That limited what we could do.

No, it was an embellishment you dubmass. Relf beat TSUN 3 times and won 2 bowl games with his very limited ability. We've won 5, 9, and 7 games in 3 years under Mullen when no one thought that would happen. Upon Crooms departure all of you who thought we would reel off 3 straight over TSUN and win 2 bowl games in 3 years raise your hand. He's done one helluva coaching job with limited depth, limited ability, no real playmakes (Ballard excepted), etc. Sell crazy somewhere else, we're all stocked up here.

Jesus tap dancing Christ where the 17 did you come from? I don't know about you but I spent 2001-2008 in college football purgatory. The fact we've won 3 straight egg bowls, back to back winning seasons along with back to back bowls makes me extremely happy. Please tell me who our bad losses this season were.

Auburn? Defending national champs, still loaded with top recruited players.
Georgia? SEC East champions.
South Carolina? BCS ranked team.
Arkansas? If not for LSU or Bama they'd be playing for it all.
Bama? No
LSU? No

I seriously hope you're just trying to stir **** up and not this big of a dumbass.

You smartass +++!@%%+*%@!+. I stand corrected. Looking at rosters, the difference is closer to 50 lbs on average. It is still one hell of an advantage for Division I football.

Georgia Tech has one of the smaller o-lines in all of D-I football- and they go to bowls pretty much every year and have been to BCS bowls.

Sometimes smaller teams give bigger teams problems because a lot of times they are quicker and can be harder to block.

The service academies are another example- they are usually competitive at worst and a lot of times, they are good enough to make bowl games.

up front. Scheme has alot to do with it. WF may be smaller but they are a well coached football team. And pride had alot to do with their performance last night. They had heard all this tme how MSU was gonna pound them with the football and run them out of the stadium. Last nights game reminded me of when Tebow's Florida team played Michigan a few years ago. Michigan had heard how good Tebow was and how they had won the title the year before blah blah blah. And Michigan ACTUALLY showed up...wow what a concept. WF did exactly that, they 17'n showed up and grinded it out. I gotta give it to thier front 7 they balled out for most of the game. Plus when your smaller and quicker you have to use things like strip and gang tackling (ala Tony Dungy's defenses) to roam sideline to sideline to try and counter the size factor. Remember TCU vs Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl last year? Wisconsin DID outweigh TCU by nearly 100lbs up front. Who won? TCU, they used speed and gang tackling. And as far as bashing Mullen, seriously? First of all he hasn't even had the chance to coach a QB that he ACTUALLY recruited yet (Dak). Tyler was here because of Croom, nobody wanted Dylan and Relf was ALREADY here. Let's see what he's able to do with HIS qb. And oh BTW, I kept a list of all the people that were PISSED that Manny left and were MAD that "all we got now is Chris Wilson?" "We are gonna be in trouble, our offense is gonna HAVE to win games for us this year." To all you people I just want to say "TOLD YOU SO!" Not to mention he's a 17'n BALLER at recruiting!

Mullen is 21-17......21-17......21-17 in 3 years. Smoke and mirrors my ***! And he very well could've been 6-6 or 7-5 in his first year (Dixon crossed the plain on 2nd GL vs LSU and Tyson Lee wasn't beyond the line of scrimmage when hitting Berry for a TD vs Houston @ DWS). I'd LOVE to know what Jackie's record was his first 3 years. Plus the West was NOWHERE NEAR as strong then as it is now.

That is his handle on there 247 site as well. Its really funny, we win a bowl, and in a fit of jealosy and envy he/they come over to bash the coach that is 3-0 against them. Obssesed mixed with little man syndrome is a fair synapsis for Baker12

The pass was not perfect, but it was certainly catchable and a solid WR would have come down with that ball. Relf is hardly a great QB, but was servicable for a few years. He was made to look much worse because of the ineptitude of the receiving corps. Anyone can catch ball thrown right into the numbers on blown coverages. Good receivers make plays for the QB. Good receivers go up and get the ball, not wait for the ball to come to them. No QB makes great passes every completion. The problem for MSU is -no ball is caught that is not aperfect pass.

Name a great QB that didnt have a stud receiver to throw to at any given time. Again, not saying Relf was great by any means, just saying that a QB's "success" is mostly tied to other players.
