Don't say that or you will trigger the WBB zealots
Please be more specific as to which zealots you are refering - the two of them who paid attention to the program before they started winning or the rest of them who who pulled a hammy jumping on the bandwagon after they started winning?
I'm not a WBB zealot, but I do enjoy their success. I've yet to understand the rationale behind denigrating one of the few successful sports teams we currently have. It isn't wildly popular like fb and bb, but we field a team, and if you're gonna field a team, heck, the purpose/goal is to win. Yay? 
If wbb packed up and never played again I would never know or care. I love women and I love basketball. Women playing basketball? Nah. Implode the wbb program and put all resources into football.
What moves the meter are football & men's basketball. College baseball only kinda does. Kinda.

I am happy for the success of the young ladies playing the game. Atrack me if you like, and you probably will, I just cant support any team coached by Dawn Staley.

Who was denigrating it? I was pointing out how there are only "fans" now that they're winning... because they were invisible before that changed. Their support is entirely conditional on winning; not a shot at the program at all. (But this is the case at most places and one of the major reasons tens of millions of dollars are flushed when a coach loses a game or two - only winning is acceptable... and winning at all costs.)
Contrast that with FB - WB has always been full (or close to it) throughout the many decades I've been around here. Lots of long-suffering supporters even through winless (and almost winless) seasons (though it seems the NIL era is taking it toll on some of that support).
Wasn't directed at you. There are plenty on this board and other boards who comment how WBB aren't worth watching, are wasted money, etc. etc.
I understand and respect your reasoning here. I try to ignore it, but its hard to do some times.
I don’t give two **** s, I love Carolina’s WBB program! Love it! It’s the only source of pride for this **** hole athletics dept., and it’s immensely fun to watch! #triggered
Was at Disney a few weeks ago and I was wearing my Carolina hat. From afar I hear GO COCKS I turn and the guy is coming towards me to talk. As I look closer I see that he’s wearing a Gamecock shirt with Aja Wilson’s picture on it. I turned to my son and said, “we are officially a WBB school”.
I would prefer Men’s programs excel as well, not a women’s basketball fan, and definitely not a Dawn Staley fan, but pull for Carolina in chess and Bass fishing!! Especially against the taters!!
