We sure will miss Ballard. I love him.

I wondered how we would replace Jerious and then AD surpassed his rushing total. I think we have the next great tailback waiting for his turn on the bench.</p>

No disrespect. It speaks to our recruiting, our staff's development of players, and our tradition of having really good RBs every year.

We did well without him, probably better.. but we did miss him. He may have been the difference against Auburn or Arkansas.

Saying that I sure will miss watching Ballard. Heck, I still miss Dixon, Norwood, Miller, Davis, Bouie

would bea piece of cake have sobered up enough to tell me who`s going to take his place. Not saying it can`t be done just asking who.

it's RB.

Think about this - we went from Bouie/Davis to Keiffer to JJ Johnson to Dicenzo/Dontae to Norwood to Dixon to Ballard without skipping a beat.

Ballard has been a beast these past 2 seasons but I think Nick Griffin, Josh Robinson, Perkins, etc will step up in 2012.

a nimrod. I don't think we will have any dropoff, next year. If its one thing State has been good at, it's running. In my leftime, we haven't had a bad rushing game.

plus after seeing Robinson with my own 2 eyes looks like he's gonna be a good one as well. I love Perk, but he's not an everydown back. Nick is. BTW, Flab is dead as on with his post about "name the last time we didn't have a good RB?" BTW, Knox seems to be earning thehell outta his money. Loved seeing him tear Vick and Perk up after those fumbles last night.

with whoever wins the primary RB role, but I've seen a lot of MSU RBs over the years and I don't think I've ever seen one hit the seam (when there is one) with more acceleration than Ballard. And once he clears the defenders he doesn't get caught from behind. That's why he probably has more long range TD runs per carry than most any back in MSU history. That part will be missed. If Ballard had played in a league without the stout defenses that the SEC has there is no telling what kind of stats he would have put up.

even after his injury.....dude is bigger stronger and faster than just about any back we have ever had....I see him being a combo of AD, Jerious, and Ballard....and an every down back...

wish we would have seen more of him this year
