we will go 7-5 (maybe 8-4) and here is why

because mrob from Genespage says so (talking about defense):

The way these guys are playing I am not sure anyone is going to score more than 17 on them. Even with the missed field goal special teams is still doing fairly well. Glad to see the kickoff go into the endzone twice on Saturday with no wind. Let's give Tyler time and the OL time to work on their timing. Bama will be tough(17-10 Bama unless we get that key turnover), Arkansas definitely doable (21-17 MSU). Expect to win the rest, probably pretty big. Cool hand Luke (Tyler) has the offense playing harder than they have played since the Auburn game.

It would be at home the week after LSU. Now, having said that, it will be just like when Bama came in '09 after these circumstances, it will be a slaughter.

Bamba made big plays to beat us last year, but a win is a tough case to make.

it would make my M-State fan experience more pleasant. How could anybody really see anything better than 6-6 at this point? I'll admit before the season I thought 8-4 or possibly 9-3 could happen. We had to beat Auburn and S. Carolina to make that happen....we didn't.

SC and LSU both had their lowest scoring game all season against Miss State. Not saying we are going to beat bama, there is no way we win that game and I'm not saying we are even going to score against Alabama, but their offense will not score that many points on our defense. Lattimore only had39 yards rushing against Miss State. Everyone was saying that guy was going to light State up. Our defense is going to keep us in every game from here on out. It's just a matter of our offense being able to score. I say we win, KY, Ole Miss, Tenn Martin. TheArkansas game will be very close with a chance at the end to win it. Not saying we will win it but we will be in the game come the fourth quarter.

as our mommies taught us to do......motivation will be the factor...the 'LODWALG'[Law of Diminishing Wins and Losses Gained] program is spouting out an even game Wildcats vs. Dippity Dawgs. But the 'Losses gained' is still in solid command....

31-30..toss it.

The way Bama plays I don't even know if there is a good time to play them. They're just an emotionless machine.

If they actually got up or down for games, it might make a difference when you played them, but they seem to me to just show up, execute plays and assignments, and leave with a comfortable victory.

That is how they are coached for sure, the "Process". They may not make it all the way this year but no denying Saban is a master.

Optimisim yes. I see bama beating us but let's not forget 1 thing from the game last year in Tuscaloosa. Nick had JUST passed away, we played out of position by playing w/ our hearts not our minds (and rightfully so based on those circumstanes) and we missed 3 tackles that turned into HUGE plays for TDs. Other than that we did play them decently on defense. Our defense (where's the 'manny was God' people now) is playing very well! I've said it for months now Manny wasn't THAT freakin' great & Chris would be fine @ DC. Take away the Auburn game where our LBs were COMPLETELY out of position & it cost us on MANY plays. The LBs seem to have gotten better week after week. Cam to me looks as good as Chris did his 1st year maybe even a little better. Very impressed the last few weeks with Skinner & Wilson as well. I can see our defense right now slowing ANYBODY down, including Arkansas. But with that said it's going to be on the offense to score points & win.

But one thing they will be coming into Starkville is a little beat up. The Bama-LSU game will be a very physical, punishing game for both teams. Not that it will matter much.

had played the Packers and Patriots in back to back weeks before playing us, they would still win comfortably just as they are doing with everyone else they are playing this year. And we just don't win in Arkansas, period. 6-6 is the best we can do at this point and that's why I felt the game this past weekend was absolutely the most important left on the schedule and we just didn't get it done.

Agree. They are definitely a personification of their head coach.

Saban is a machine himself. Even after they won the national title in 2009, you couldn't even really tell he was happy. He was already thinking about recruiting and spring practice.

He's emotionless and heartless really. Just so focused on what the plan is and executing each step along the way.

That game and the Auburn game were both killer lossesfor us. We woulda, coulda, shoulda won both and just didn't get the job done.
