Wilmington coach Jeff Reents... They are on a 23 game winning streak. They are I-8 Small Conference Champs, and defeated I-8 Large conference champs and previously unbeaten Manteno. #1 seed in 3A and ranked #1 by AP I believe.

Player - Tyler Vincent Stevenson 8 carries 287 yards 6Tds in win over Mundleein securing 26th straight playoff spot.

Coach - Hennessey. Good guy deserved this year.

George Czart of LWN....led his team to an undefeated season (including the big OT win over LWW in week 9) and has kept his kids focused all year, while the closing of the school looms at the end of the school year. Can't recall if he's already won the award this year. If so, nevermind.....

I believe he won it in week 7, but hell he might deserve another one. It's pretty remarkable what they've done this year, not just the players but Czart too. Even before the BOE shutting the school down Czart dealt with a lot of angry fans and former players (myself included) after botching the Wheaton South game last year.

I think it's fair to say that the loss was totally on him so all returning players could have checked out on him throughout the offseason. So that alone is remarkable that he kept everyone together and level headed. I thought the demons of that WWS could have haunted them but they've definitely proven me wrong. Hats off to a good coach and an exceptional job coaching so far this season, but still lots of work left to be done
