How much better could we be if we weren't spotting everyone 7-14+ points worth of turnovers every game?
  • We're -7 in turnover margin the last 5 games.
  • We've lost the turnover margin battle in every one of those games.
  • We gave up 3 straight games of fumble returns for TDs
  • We're ranked 125th out of 128 teams in turnover margin
Also, Grant McKinniss god bless him is 128th in punting average (with a hang time of about .3 seconds and a 10 degree arc).

We're going to have to fix this to have a chance in a rough finishing stretch, but it's encouraging to realize just how much more ceiling this team potentially has and how easily attainable that ceiling is if we can just clean things up a little.

I could live with a few fumbles if we ever forced any...we have always sucked at forcing turnovers

At some point, you think we get these cleaned up. Hell, even Boom is one of the biggest culprits.
We even gave them 7 points on the late hit out of bounds.

If we clean up the TOs or hell, have a game where we are +2 or +3 in TO margin, watch out.

Also, it may be a sign of the competition....to be honest. Nonetheless, it is impressive that we've won the games we have, despite the turnover margin.
