Newton-Conover
Hickory
Maiden
Pisgah
Hendo
I am trying to pick a couple upsets this week to try and catch Beamer. Should be some good games. I am interested in seeing How Bandys can handle the strength and size of Cramer. West vs Pisgah should be a classic with the upstarts vs the established discipline team. I am going out in a limb since I don’t know anything about Hendo this year.
I’m interested to see how we deal with the Bandys QB. From the film I have seen and by everyone I hear from he is a handful.

Cramer will need to control possession time and score to defeat Bandys. Hendersonville is very explosive on offense.

LOL, him without a shirt could be a Maiden thing. Recall an article in the Whiteville News Reporter, about the Undefeated Tabor City Red Devils coming to Maiden in 1978, for the 2A state championship game, which The Blue Devils would win 36-14 (I think)…The writer made mention of “Coach Tom Brown, pacing the sidelines in shorts, on a bitterly cold Catawba County night.” Some of these Maiden guys, including amaidendevil, and maybe GrizzlyDevil had played for him, so he might have explained to them that they shouldn’t worry about the cold Temps… I distinctly remember that night. I was working and had a small cube-shaped radio with no antenna, trying to pick up bits and pieces of the game from WNNC Newton Radio station. The temperature was actually in the 20’s during the game, possibly even in the low 20’s, and was maybe even windy. Also talked with someone from Tabor City who had made the 200 mile drive and was staying at one of the hotels, here in Lincolnton. He was very disappointed, but said, “They were the better team.” Also, I believe, Division 1 College coach, Kevin Wilson was playing for Maiden, in that game.1762729612859.png

Tom brown loved his old school blue gym shorts. The kind u would see pe teachers wear in 80's movies 🤣. It would take a hell of a cold night even in his old age to make him wear pants. He was instilling toughness into players by example.

Lets do this

Bandys- I feel they got the edge and momentum. Be a tight game, could go either way but i'll go with it

East Lincoln- just general common sense on this pick. 10 points maybe

Newton- just too strong but Foard should have a decent game for a bit

Hickory- ok game but Hickory by 2 TDS

Maiden- NSurry had some competition but some not. Maiden too tested and will walk away with not an easy one but a win

Pisgah- on edge with this but I think the mtn boys might have something. Down to the wire mark it down

Lincolnton- Dont let me down. A good game here. Alot of good games this week that could go either way. Down to the wire in this one.

Burkes Get em's : Come on guys, SEPERATE column but jump in. I'm taking these Only if its close match and anyones game. Not putting Watauga up yet maybe next week. Common sense says they got Saint Stephens in a rematch. Hibriten will take care of RS, i'll wait on them too.

Freedom over Central Cabbarus- Slightly tougher schedule for Naterone Means' old school/ Freedom not faired well with Cabbarrus co schools this could get interesting. I'll take Freedom in a nail biter.

Ashbrook over Statesville- upset potential for the Greyhounds, interesting game and very well could be after looking at both schedules and size and athletes on both sides of the ball for both these guys. Ashbrook on paper ill go with it but what ya'll think.

East Rutherford over Shelby- I think these boys got the hot hand right now. Down to the wire for sure.

Maiden by 14

Newton by 28
Pisgah by 7 (could go either way but I don’t think west can stop the run, they got a kid averaging 172 a game😳)
Lincolnton by 7
Swett looks to be the real deal on tape. Hope we can compete. Having the best player on the field at the most important position is always a plus. Should be fun

We are looking forward to it. First time playoffs for all of our kids.
Beating a depleted Lincolnton team that week made people doubt whether Cramer was for real. They have a solid team. They lost to Burns by 14 and Shelby by more. This is the ultimate time for SC to prove they are for real. Can they win? Absolutely! Bandys is going to be very tough. If SC wins, they will have peoples attention quick. They pass the eye test. Those boys are huge!

Another thing to worry about. Coaches can't let the lights get too bright.
Our lighting isn’t that good anyway…..but seriously coming into the season there wasn’t many expectations…I mean guy at WL working concessions said all we heard with the new conference is Cramer is awful (up until this year he was right)….basically I am saying our kids should be loose because they are playing with house money and reading most of the posts about them on here most everyone else feels that way too….I believe in our coach, he is something special and will have them prepared to win…whether or not they do, we will see Friday

I doubt @amaidendevil pulls for anyone but the Boom devils.. he knows that QB is scary for bandys and that's probably why he would pick the trojans to win the game. No doubt about that.

I'm not too sure he would want to see him again, although Maiden has beaten Bandys with him at QB 3 years in a row.

This is not a typical Stuart Cramer team, weaker conference or not. Not saying they will beat Bandy's but they have nothing to lose and everything to gain and the pipeline is building for them.

11 deep on both sides of the ball they can play with anyone. Depth is the issue. They are big and physical and I expect it to be a really good game.

A little research Total regular season record of cramer opponents 39-62. 3 regular season opponents with winning records 1-3 against them with Lincolnton being a disappointment. 3 wins against 1 win teams, 1 win against 2 win team and 1 win against 3 win team. 2 wins against .500 teams.

Hard to play 3 teams with winning records and be 1-3 against them, but your math does confuse most of the people on this thread
