It's going to be somewhat similar to playing Lincolnton with an athletic quarterback that can run.

What you hope for is to be typical Newton hit them in the mouth hard a couple times and they slink away.

Bunker Hill is atrocious. West Iredell up 29-0 with 7 minutes left in the first.
I'm watching the stream, and the first quarter took 50 minutes. West 50-18 over BH. Rather entertaining. West has four defensive touchdowns and BH is throwing bombs on every other play.

It was a sloppy game like I said it was going to be tonight. I really thought we could overcome our best line in being out but didn't work out that way. Second half we come out looking a little more normal still not great. Defense played awesome all night long. A minute and something left to throw a deep touchdown past the Hampton Reed the rest called a holding which I personally didn't see it. Look like a clean play to me. I'm going overtime pick them off on the first play. Then our running back fumbles which I'm not totally sure on his leaving down or not. Second overtime we score but then called back for an apparent illegal shift they said a player wasn't set but I questio. And then they score ends the game.
Bazzle and son win in double overtime against the boom devils.
Can't wait for brackets to be released, hopefully @GrizzlyDevil will have a good projection tomorrow.
I'm sure conference rematches await.

NC’s defense played well all night long. Starting qb goes out in the 3rd quarter and NC still managed to find a way to win. Gritty performance by Newton-Conover.
I have to say regardless of the outcome of this week’s games this has to be on of my favorite conferences. It is so competitive. Seeing lot of good games going on this year.
#8 for West Iredell was not playing tonight. He will be back for the playoffs. #6 was the running back for us tonight. Didn't really need #8 tonight with all the defensive touchdowns we got.Is #8 playing
Nobody posted it I had to get on MaxPreps to see it. Hard to believe regular season is over. I think we all broke even on this weeks picks losing Maiden pick and NL pick lol. I wasn’t there, hadn’t saw NL play since the Maiden game, but NL clearly showed what losing an army and a coach and top player from the year before- REALLY looks like. BH, bout the same thing but I don’t think they had as massive of a senior exit as NL did. The way NL held tight against Maiden for a while in that game good grief you gotta wonder what in the world happened to these guys. I said they might be decent next year well that’s up for question. East Burke however did only grab 3 wins the year BEFORE the big run in 2007 but still don’t mean much in this case.Loving the Fred T. Foard result!
Bandys was the shocker of the night. These guys are gonna surprise some people. They already have lol. That or Hickory got work to do before gearing up for playoffs. Big congrats to Newton
Should be banned for the rest of the season. Bunker Hill is a JV team at this point they had so many people quit and get kicked off the team they had to bring their JV up to Field the varsity team.

#8 wasn't out there?? I know these streaming cameras are not the best quality, but I swear I saw #8 out there. Then again, the #3 and #6 do look like an #8 from a distance, especially with eyes with many years on them. Watched some of the N-C win in OT, and some of Bandys' loss. Interesting conference for its inaugural year.
West Iredell breaks the NCHSAA record for most interceptions for TDs in a game with 5 interceptions with 5 different players.
Man, I gotta give a shout out to Saint Stephens. Yeah i know thats random as crap on this thread but hey, they're close by lol. Gotta be the toughest 5-5 team out there. These cats only lost by a TD to Freedom and 10 points to Watauga. Watauga and Hickory(from the Bandys game) both better tighten up lol.
Soon as we get playoff pairings I'll do my extra "Burkes get em's" picks maybe just a couple teams on the set
JM Robinson looks to be the team to beat in 5A. Are there any others that might take Hickory out early? Crest is another big un' in the mix. NW Cabbarrus losing to Robinson BIG might be making a visit to Hickory and they pretty solid . Robinson went through them last night like a knife on warm butter.
