What does 17 have to do for Mullen to say Russell is our qb?

This alternating 3 qbs is getting a bit much. Tyler has done ok against two very good defenses in South Car and Bama. Yet Mullen just seems to refuse to give him the keys to the car. I doubt we have Arkansas coaches freaking out in their meetings over trying to figure out which qb we will use.

But now I think no matter what Dan says team are going to prepare much more for Tyler Russell, and probably pay little to no attention to Relf. I wouldn't be surprised if Arkansas prepares more for Favre gadget plays than a Relf run offense. I hate Relf had to end it like this after the progress he made last year, but it's pretty clear he just isn't agood enoughQB, especially if he can't use his feet.I would be surprised if anyone else starts any of the last games for us besides Russell unless he is too injured to play.

On your question I have questioned Dan's QB rotation usage ever since he has been here. I always thought he should do it more situationally but he always did it as Guy A gets a series then Guy B gets a series. Finally the last two weeks he has done situational substitutions, but he did it to kill a drive and then when a pass was called for he didn't put his passer back in. Part of situation substitution is momentum. When one of the guys has a hot hand, don't take him out.

I really thought Relf gave us the best chance to win last year. I expected him to continue that, but he seemed to regress in the passing and totally stopped getting the tough yards running. So yes, I agree that Russell deserves the keys.

He is not a very nice sharer of information, and I don't blame him for keeping it to himself. What I do want to see is him keeping Russell in th egame this weekend as long as he is moving the ball. I think that may be the case, too. We'll have to see if I'm right.

I woudl like to see him gve relf the ball at least once when we play the black bears and let him run it into the endzone.A part fo me thinks that Relf deservs that. I also want us to getfar enough ahead that he lets the Dwarf run one in, too. I wish we would get so far ahead that he lets Pasqualle (sp?) run one so he can enjoy making more that 3 points on a play.

First things first though. I can't say how badly I want the Dawgs to slip one into the Pigs. A win in LR Saturday would be Priceless. I wouldn't trade it for beating UM. I want both.

as has been stated, this is about Mullen wanting other teams to have to take the time to prepare for both. I think that's his motivation about injuries as well.

why narrow down the number of different plays a team has to prepare to see by tipping your hand?
